Unavailable available missions

I seem to have an odd bug affecting the doff missions on one of my Klingon toons.

Some missions appear to be available in the list, but when I try to start them I'm unable to assign a specific doff.

Mostly seems to affect some espionage and tactical missions.

A little while ago, I managed to critically fail a turn in contraband missions.

My poor, innocent crew member was 'confined to quarters'.

I wonder if it failed to remove him from my roster properly, resulting in appearing to meet the requirements of missions when I don't have access to the doffs.

Has anyone else experienced this bug? Or does anyone know of a solution?

    I have noticed this too, primarily on my KDF-romulan

    I wasn't sure if it was a typical doff bug or because I have some federation doffs hiding in my roster until I can move them somewhere more appropriate

    Please don't take offense if you would not make this mistake, I'm just offering it as a possibility. I have thought I had this problem a couple of times, and it usually turned out to be one of two things - either it was a mission that appears to ask for a doff but doesn't really require one ("Orion Enlistment Extension" or something like that), or somehow the focus on the doff slot window was somewhere else, which is usually the case. It will look like you have no available doffs to slot, but if you click on the requirement part the doff recommendations suddenly appear.

    I'm not sure I'm explaining this well, but on the right-hand side, try clicking on the part that is asking for a doff. I have this happen a lot in reassigning underperforming doffs for some reason. Do it once, and the next time there is no list to choose from, but it doesn't have the little indicator saying you don't have the doff either.

    If these are not the issue, and you don't have any Fed DOffs in your KDF roster as suggested by bootyboots, then I would say it's a bug that I have not yet experienced.

    I have a similar issue - every time I purchase a duty officer from the exchange, I cannot use that duty officer in any of the missions, the three times that I tried are as follows - I purchased a refugee (white quality), but was not able to use it on any of the missions that required a refugee; I purchased a blue quality Transporter Technician (specifically for a mission that required an operations personnel of type transporter technician), but was unable to select that duty officer, and I purchased a bartender, but am unable to use the bartender for any missions. I don't know if it is simmilar to what you are experiencing, but it bugs the heck out of me as to why you can buy duty officers on the exchange, but not use them...

    Sure you're not buying a KDF DOff for a Fed character (or vice versa)?

    When buying officers, always turn on the option to only show usable items. Don't trust the icon frames. You can trust the backgrounds, but those are pretty hard to see and... well, you've got an option to filter out the ones you won't be able to use.
