Hello,
I was wondering if a few of you wouldn't mind checking out my ship and letting me know if you have any improvement suggestions. I mainly PVE and I am starting PVP.
I am looking at possibly adding in the tachyokinetic converter, but I am not sure were to put it, should I remove the zero-point console if I get it?
depends on how you want to fly it.. but your build has a couple issues..
for starters. the engineering consoles.. id run 2 neutroniums, blue xii.. and 1 monotanium, blue xii. (unless you can afford purple xii)
the 2nd part i see is your boff layout..
for the lt com science, id run.. pol hul1, tss2, haz em3.
for the engineer id run.. Epower2shields 1, aux2sif1
for the lt tac id run, tt1 and beta1.. torp spread is suicide. lol
and make sure the com tac has tt1 too. you need to keep the shields strong so 2 tac teams is a must.
then the rest comander id run hy2, rf2, omega3..
the ensign uni, id put an engineer in it with epower2shields 1.
[12:35] Vessel Two of Two Unimatrix 01 deals 225232 (271723) Plasma Damage to you with Plasma Lance.
[12:44] Vessel One of Two Unimatrix 01 deals 1019527 (1157678) Kinetic Damage to you with Plasma Energy Bolt Explosion.
Do you have an example build for that? Sounds interesting.
Really glad I got this ship as it's been great getting into STFs for my eng and sci.
I tend to run with two copies of hazard emitters as my only hull heals, also for healing plasma damage in Borg STFs, and focus on shield heals for defense. I use two emitter array science consoles.
Ens (Uni) Science - HE1
Lt Eng - EPS1, RSP (RSP and tactical team work well together in a crisis)
Lt. Cmd Sci - TSS1, HE2, TSS3
Tactical varies more, always with two copies of Tactical Team standard, but I've done pretty well in STFs and against the recent Crystalline Entity.
Thank you for your inputs, where you would/do you put your universal consoles? Do you recommend that I sacrifice a field emitter and put them both in science?
What are your power levels? I have been using 75/75/25/25 as the plasma distribution manifolds have allowed me to maintain a good DPS while putting a little more power to my shields, that has suited me well in STFs (at least it didn't hurt), but I will certainly head your advice and re-equip my hull plating for PVP.
anything over 50 on shields is kind of a waste..
id run 100/50/25/25 or 100/40/25/35
[12:35] Vessel Two of Two Unimatrix 01 deals 225232 (271723) Plasma Damage to you with Plasma Lance.
[12:44] Vessel One of Two Unimatrix 01 deals 1019527 (1157678) Kinetic Damage to you with Plasma Energy Bolt Explosion.
For consoles I have:
Eng - Assimilated Module, Neutronium Alloyx2
Sci - Zero-point Energy Conduit, Emitter Arrayx2
Tac - Antiproton Mag Regulatorx4
Off the top of my head, my power levels with my skill bonuses are along the lines of 125/70ish/40ish/40ish. Really not certain of anything but the weapon power. And I focus on keeping the shields up in PVE. Not sure if this works for PVP or not since I haven't ventured there yet.
I have OMEGA because of shield Reg., I find it better than MACO on this ship,
Boff setup alowes me to have Tac team and cannon spec. basicly all the time
Personally i use a similar build except that i switched the DBB for a quantum torpedo and BO for a HY.
Omega is indeed a very good set for the chel grett.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

You KDF or Fed ascertain builds may differ. I use it with tetryon Dual cannons and beams with tricobalt mines. but since I'm klingon I use the borg engines and deflector and the honour guard shields

Tac - 4x Plasma Infuser Mk XI

Sci - Tachyo, 0Point,Field Gen Mk XI

Hrmm, don't feel like hitting up STOacademy, so there won't be a skillbuild - but just for reference...
Here are the Traits: Accurate, Astrophysicist, EPS Manifold Efficiency, Efficient, Elusive, Grace Under Fire, Techie, Warp Theorist, and a random ground trait.
Yes, he's an Engineer.
Here's the Rep:
New Rom - Precision, Sensor Targeting Assault
Nukara - Enhanced Shield Penetration...@T4 will take Aux Power Config - Offense
Omega - Omega Weapon Training, Omega Graviton Amplifier
As for the power levels, the "base" subsystem levels are:
W: 125(O)/100
S: 87/65
E: 58/20
A: 36/15
Their normal operating levels are:
W: 125(O)/100
S: 122/65
E: 78/20
A: 56/15
Weapon Power is overcapped from the start (believe it's 126/100 - will go up to 171/100 or so during normal gameplay - the overcap is only for drain buffer, allowing more shots to be fired at a higher weapon power level).
122 Shield Power means 34.16% additional shield damage reduction. EPtS1 is providing an additional ~18%, the MACO shields provide 10% energy reduction as well as 20% reduction against Plasma. It's not additive, mind you.
(1 - 0.3416 (shield power))*(1 - 0.18 (EPtS1))*(1 - 0.10 (MACO))*0.9 (10% bleedthrough) gives me a normal shield damage reduction of ~56.3% against energy damage (~65% vs. Plasma).
That's without TSS or anybody hitting me with ExS.
Hull damage resistance on the other hand, well that's going to be 24.6% for Kinetic and 27% for Energy...until I use an ability. Don't forget that there is DR for hull damage resistance, so stacking those Neuts if you're also using any abilities won't be giving you the return you might hope for, eh? I'll get more out of the AtS1 than I would a second rare Neut Mk XI...sure, there will be 5s of downtime on AtS1, but have to be hit first...
...which gets into Bonus Defense. My Bonus Defense before any buffs is +85%. The Chel Grett gets the +10% Escort (while moving) Defense boost. To maintain at least that +85% (yes, it's usually higher), there are a slew of abilities/etc to be able to keep moving.
Various abilities will boost the Speed/Turn...yes, I'm a Wheeeeeee Pilot. I'm looking forward to getting the Risian Corvette as the main ship for one of my Tac Captains.
Hrmm, a little addendum about some of the gear choices...
Aegis Engines provide +5% Bonus Defense, even if you're sitting still. My sitting still Bonus Defense is +15% (base is -15%...+10% Elusive, +15% 9 in Maneuvers, +5% Aegis Engines).
MACO shields provide +10 subsystem power (+2 for each hit from directed energy weapons and can stack 5 times).
2pc MACO provides +5% Power Recharge Speed (can use abilities slightly faster) and +17.5 Power Insulators (helps with shield/energy drain).
2pc Adapted Borg gives a 2.5% chance for Omega Weapon Amplifier - which gives +10 Weapon Power, +500 Current Weapon Power Drain Resistance, +500 Max Weapon Power Drain Resistance.
3pc Adapted Borg gives a 1% chance to reduce the majority of incoming damage for 2s (can only occur once every 30s and is not something I would recommend depending on in the least - I might drop the Cutting Beam for the Nukara Mines...or might not).
3pc Singularity Harness gives the Experimental Array the Hyperflux option (more damage, higher damage DoT, and increased damage resistance debuff).
Some of the individual consoles...
0Point gives +1.8 Subsystem Power, +19.7 Power Insulators, +1.8% CrtH.
Nukara gives +5 Shield Power, +17.3 Power Insulators, +17.3 Particle Gens, +10 Accuracy with Beam Weapons (yes, meaning that my Arrays are the equivalent of [Acc]x3[Disrupt][Plasma] weapons).
A lot of blah, blah, blah, eh? Hrmm, at some point I should take a look at getting a better Core. This guy was my main from S7 until the launch of LoR when I went with a Sci in a Fleet T'varo...so I may or may not get around to it.
Isn't there a whole other section dedicated to ship builds? There is ! Use It!
Federation Shipyards
Klingon Fleetyards
Romulan Flotilla
Even the PvP forums have a stickied thread for ship builds.
Unfortunately, there is no non-Faction area...so there is not something for folks to use.
edit: Yes, that is a case of saying I believe that with the growing number of factionless ships that there should be a section of the forums for them. Cause face it, there's...
That list is likely to grow. There will be builds scattered through the Fed, KDF, and Rom build forums. What about when they add additional factions? More ships and more scattered...ayup...perhaps it's time to create that separate build section for these...special ships.
One might say they could just go in the Builds section, and that's a possibility, eh? Then again, so many things go in there.
anything over 50 on shields is kind of a waste..
id run 100/50/25/25 or 100/40/25/35
Why would you say that anything over 50 shields is a waste, when that simply is not true?
If you take the current shield resistance math formula of Shield Power/357.12 will give you a maximum of 36% resist at 130 shield power
at 50 SP = 14% resist
That leaves 22% more resist to gain by upping shield power.
If you can get somewhere in the mid 70's with bonuses, and then add EPtS1, you could gain a heck of a lot of resist.
Lets say 75 SP, plus unbuffed EPtS1
That puts you at 93 SP
Just from that alone, gives you 26%, which is not a waste. Add in the resist of 18% from EPtS1 (with diminishing returns of course)
.82 * .74 = .6068 which is right around 40% shield resist.
Add in a MACO shield, TSS and if you're an engineer RSF, you are very nearly at cap shield resist of 75% in what can technically be considered an escort.
Going over 50 SP is hardly a waste, please do not spread false information.
Works wonders! all cannons + cutting beam. Usual borg console, Zero point, neutro Rcs, Field gen. borg 2 piece + KHG shield...
Love it...! could have saved myself the cost of a KDF Temp destroyer on my tac KDF as i run my Temp Des same setup LTCom Sci... so basically 75mil for the extra turn and shield mod... nice to have but could prob live without happily. but its nice to have nice things... even if i never run it ltcom engi...
Nowt wrong with the breen ship imho! great FREE ship (at the time) pity they werent sellable, not for profit but to have the option to run on newer toons if i wanted.

I'm at work so I don't have my info in front of me, but the above has some good points.
As a tact, I feel I can do some serious DPS with this ship. It rocks, and isn't bad at taking a beating as well (could be due to my set up)?
