Why are Risian Floaters Character Bound?

So I finally got my 1000 favors and picked up a red Floater. Very nice and a lot of fun! Unfortunately, the color just doesn't work with this character. Now I think black would be better, but I don't really need two floaters on one character.

On top of that, I just discovered that the favors aren't bound! So if the currency to purchase the floater isn't bound, then why in the world is the floater itself bound? At least make it account bound, so I can use it on another character...

Or just give us a way to trade in for different colors? Maybe a 100 favor paint job? :)

    reason why is so people don't get a lot of them and then sell them for 400k on the exchange in 3 months time when you can't get them anymore.

    With lockbox ships they come around a 2/3 times a year to win again (plus someone is spending real money to get them), these ships are lucky to hit once a year and are free.

    But I agree with account wide trade.

    It's bad enough I've seen players in zone chat charging 500 million EC for 1k favors. And the outfits? Yeah cheapest I saw yesterday in the exchange was about 7 million.

    So, at the current going rate for 1,000 favors, you would be looking at several hundred million EC for the best floaters.

    The reason the floaters/bird eggs/bird pets/ship are character bound is because they want you to actually participate in the event on all characters. They don't want you to just buy your way through everything. Hence the reason why for 5 Lobi Crystals you only get a measly 2-6 pearls. If you're going to buy your way through you're going to pay out the ****. Sure they are in the business to make profit, but what they really want is to give us a break once in a while and offer us some nice stuff in game for free with just a little time and effort to obtain.

    Just my 2 EC. ;)

    Edit: Once the event is over, the floaters become useless. Like the winter event, I doubt they will leave the summer event map in game year round. And currently that is the only map we can use the floaters.

    I don't mind them being character bound, but I wish I could get a trade-in allowance when I move up.
