Risa event NEEDS to become an open pvp map

the jet packs make Risa so amazing omg I love that idea it would be so amazing if you could put a pvp map up like that where if using the jet pack you can only fire your weapon but if your on the ground you can use everything... Please for the love of god do this and ground pvp will be revived completely... im willing to bet my whole account on it that this would bring in so many new players just make 100 different spwn points and a mission where if you kill 25 players it completes for just you never have the zone reset and make it so its a FFA or if your in a team that's your only ally

    I remember people requesting the Facility 4028 map for PvP too. That didn't work out so well. ;)

    It took me about 3 tries to understand what you typed. Capitalization and punctuation please. Now that my grammar Naziing is out of the the way, I wouldn't know enough about the Risa map to have an opinion on this.

    +1. Totally agree. I would still love to see the 4028 map also. A map to PVP on using the jet packs would be fun but I doubt it would ever happen. I honestly think they (cryptic) are intentionally trying to kill ground and a passive doff proc'ing for 2-300 dmg per tick for 10 secs on ground toons with 600 hps is going to do it. So, if I may...-ahem- lolground

    Thing I like best about the jet pack (other than flying -- wheee!) is that both hands are full so there's no way to shoot. That should be kept if the packs are ever enabled for anything/anywhere else: you can fly, or you can shoot, not both.

    haveing jet packed around some, your crazy if you think you can have functioning pvp with them. the best tactic would be to land and shoot the guy floating around like an idiot.

    Well they should make jetpacks used in a space setting or something. lol. No flight disable while on them.

    Have you guys ever played Tribes? I played the old versions, lots'o of jet pack fueled pvp fun!

    Well cant use them inside because the space limitations. And if you use them outside you have a bunch of other problems--too many people going onto rooftops and stuff, and most of the maps probably have unfinished rooftops and courtyards too so Cryptic wouldnt want you flying around on those maps and getting behind walls and stuff.

    Not gonna happen until they are ready for it. They aint ready for it.

    Shelve the jetpacks, but think about that Risa map...the possibility for KotH, CTF, Assault, Dom, etc, etc, etc...

    Might require "invisible walls" for various gameplay types, but some of the new maps have been pretty lush for various things like that...heck, consider the Nimbus stuff and the possibilities there, eh? Heck, even work I-18 into that, hrmmm...fighting through the corridor for a set period of time, to see where the line is moved.

    There are a lot of things there...just a case of how they can get a return on the investment from any of it.
