Can Romulan Captains use the Galor Class Cruiser?

Thinking about getting a Galor off the exchange, I m still sitting on a big pile of Zen I bought when it was 15% off. I'd just need to buy/sell a few dozen keys.

A month ago I bought a Lobi Crystal Store Temporal Destroyer for my Rom Captain only to find out I didn't read the fine print and it was limited to Fed & Klingon only. Wound up selling it and buying a Tal Shier Adapted Destroyer. Now I'd like something heavier and the 1.3 shield mod on the Galor looks good combined with a 10 turn rate and the spiral disrupters. But I don't really need it for my Fed or Klingon Captain and I can't find any info on compatibility.

Would like to hear opinions from anyone that has a Galor too.

Thanks

Yes, Romulans can use all non-faction-specific ships. That includes all of the following:

    Galor
    D'kora
    Ferengi shuttle
Chell Gret (once winter comes around again)
    Jem'hadar Attack Ship
    Jem'hadar Heavy Escort
    Jem'hadar Dreadnought
    Tholian science
    Tholian carrier
    Tholian fighter
    Tuffli freighter
Risian Corvette (once it comes out)

Yes but please don't. Romulan Fleet ships are so much better then lockbox ships and better price. I pop lockbox ships all the time with all of the various fleet ships. Its just so disapointing to see us all wait 3 years for Romulans and people want to put them in stupid lockbox ships that been out for a year.

Especially the Galor, that ship is only a somewhat ok option for feds. All that money you spend on lockboxes you could just sell keys and fully deck out a fleet ship and perform way better and look much cooler at the same time. Fleet D'Deridex and Fleet Ha'apax both are better choices, slightly less shield mod but way more hull, and the cloaks make sure your romulan captain and boff traits dont go to waste. The turn is a little less but can be managed by taking helmsan trait, RCS, and max impulse thrusters skill. There are so many cool Romulan consoles you can't use on that lockbox ship either, and that zen used on keys could instead be used to get ships with 2 piece console set instead.

Thanks for the info. I'm not 100% sure I'll do it yet, the Singularity abilities are a big plus if I stick with Rom ships only. That's why I only flew the TS Adapt. Dest. for a week or so before taking a gamble on a Fleet T'Liss (my fleet only has shipyard tier 1 right now). The Fleet T'Liss turned out a lot better than I thought it would. With the 3 piece Jem Hadar set and fleet polaron dual cannons it has a very high DPS and turns on a dime. My Rom Capt. is an Engineer so I have plenty of ways to heal the hull. My fleet will soon have shipyard tier 2, I'm looking forward to trying the Dhelan. 5 Tac slots equals a lot of DPS. My fleet is small so it'll be a long time before we get tier 3 and higher Fleet Ships.

My Klingon Capt runs a Fleet tier 2 Vorcha Class ship that's a bit like the Galor, turn rate of 10 and 8 weapon ports. On my Fed account I just started running the Odessy 3-ship combo. It's my 1st "beam boat" and I've done well with it. I mix that with running my Kumari escort and my MM Sci Ship. I run the one with 5 sci consoles and MACO shields so my shield values are around 22K per facing. I rarely die but the DPS is pretty low. Have to rely on gravity well and repulser beams to augment.

The Galor got my attention because it's shield multiplier is darn near what the Science ships have but you still get 8 weapon ports.

Thanks again for the quick responses.
