Auto-Fire weapons

Hello,

Is there a way to keep my weapons on auto-fire? I know I can hit <Spacebar> to fire all weapons, but is there a way to keep that on; so I don't have to hit <spacebar> constantly?

I have actually seen this happen a few times but when I change weapons, it seems to go away.

Sorry for the noob question, but I am a noob :)

The search function on this forum is less than helpful.

LG

In the little frame where your weapon icons are, right click on them. If they become surrounded in green (standard color for default UI option), then they will auto fire. Still have to press the space bar to begin the attack.

there are further options for autofire in the control tap of the options window. right at the bottom.
afaik on ground the default setting is off.
if you turn it on you can get the same autofire you have in space.
there is even an option where you have to hit space bar only once at the beginning of the fight and then your weapons will fire on every enemy you target until you change the map or until red allert turn off or your target is dead or you select another target (depending on which mode you pick)

I think the guide is in the UI/Controls subforum, but I would highly recommend checking out the keybinds, so in addition to having spacebar fire all weapons, you can also have it use skills, rebalance your shields, etc. I use it to cycle two copies of EPTS (Emergency Power to Shields) and Tactical Team, so that I always have both active.

hit escape, go into options, and change the settings.
autofire should be set to "never cancel", disable "click to deselect enemy", enable "select enemy even if offscreen", etc etc.
Do this for both ground and space

Ooo, I forgot about checking the settings. It annoys the heck out of me that it started ignoring targets that where not right in front of me.
A Trill, a Gorn, a Jem'Hadar, Bejoran and a Voth walk into a bar, and the Bartender asks "What is this a Joke?"
"Nope, just my away team" the trill replies before ordering a round for the bar.
