Hi all!
I've a quick question for those authors experienced in creating custom maps:
When I "play map" to check my item placement I am having this weirdness happen where my Foundry toon spawns beneath the floor, falls for a few seconds, then snaps back up to the custom floor I've placed.
The specifics:
Floor piece used: "Building Block Platform 500X500 03" placed at 1100 elevation.
Spawn point: Tried elevations 1100, 1100.01, 1100.2 - all with the same result.
Elevations to all pieces on my map are set relative to zero elevation (as is the spawn point).
Is this a quirk of the Foundry editor, or am I doing something wrong? Will this continue to happen after I publish? Should I be using a thicker floor piece to prevent this? Any advice would be appreciated!
And, thanks in advance.

It's possible that in worst case scenarios you'll actually fall through, but that doesn't seem to happen except rarely.
Just boost the spawn point by a full 1-2 Y coordinates above the floor (depending on your ceiling height you could even go higher). That should serve as a safety to prevent any falling through. Even if the spawn point is a little off the ground, the player will still spawn on the floor rather than in midair.

I can confirm the following:
When you 'park' a character in a seperated area on a social map, like the lower levels of ESD or the Science Lab at K7, you get this behaviour sometimes. Since i like to log on & off at those areas (faster loading time), i see it from time to time. I think it happens there, because those areas are not at the same level like the rest of that social map. Just a guess.
Nothing to worry (so far) though, since the game always instantly auto-corrects it (like described in the OP).
It is much appreciated!
