You got the atrox and it's so-so. That's about it. There is a thread going on about the JHDC but I've never flown it, personally.

From a gameplay point of view: The only thing better is the jem dreadnought. In fact, i am trying to save up for the Jem Escort.

However, seems like you care more of the roleplay aspect. In that case, you have to get a federation carrier of c-store.

I myself pilot a HEC, and since you are a tac, you probably have a better synergy with it then me (I am an eng). I would NOT recommend the Atrox, since it's too science heavy and lack any frigates options, making it extremely different from the Vo'quv.

If you want vesta, do noted that, despite the fact it have 2 universal Boff seat, have a total of 10 consoles, and have a high shield modifier, it's extremely aux heavy and is more of a science vessel, even though it does have a tactical oriented version. I would EXTREMELY recommend you wait for the residental Vesta expert to give you his opinion first, however.

EDIT: If you really want a 2-hnagar carrier, I recommend you roll a KDF and try out Vo'quv at lv 40. It's free, and you can find out if you like carrier playstyle, which is like running the Romulan D'D with pets.

As a tactical captain I have actually found the Jem HeC more durable than the Dreadnaught. The 3 slot and 2 slot engineer stations and the 2 slot universal (I use for science more tactical minded captains probably tac) really keep it alive.

Sure it has more hull strength and twice the fighters. But the dreadnaught is a "Tactical Carrier" and I am not sure how to fly it. Its slow to turn so the weapons compliment is a question. You can basically run the same Boff setup on both ships but the dreadnaught isn't a tanking ship.

I bought an Armitage when I hit 50 and later picked up the fleet version. Being a balanced build kinda person I never liked it and switched to the Jem HeC. Now that I am gearing up for PVP i have learned to appreciate the 3 Tac Boff layout and all of its possibilities. A tactical captain can work wonders doing damage with it. Still getting my consoles together but doing 7000 DPS so far might hit that 10K mark.

I run the Armitage as I would an escort and use Delta flyer's to help with shield melting and some minor damage.

As far as bridges the Jem ships are one room.

I'm loving my fleet Corsair, it's a great carrier, even if it's a hybrid and not a fully fledge carrier. I highly recommend getting yourself one.

I run it on my Orion engineer but it could be viable for a science officer as well. ;)

I enjoy my Recluse, love my frigates (Mesh Weavers) however note that there is no interior other than the bridge. Just consoles (although the center console does raise out of the floor and turn on the lights :P ) to contact doffs or change small craft. The interior is unique, but there's no ready room or mess hall if that's what you're looking for. Ditto for 'walking' to main engineering or sickbay etc, just the console to contact them for the special assignments.

Well if you Roll a Rommie - the Scimitar Dreadnought Carrier will be out in the next month or so - from what has been shown it will have a totally unique and fully decked out interior with some interesting rooms - like a dungeon I believe.

That sounds cool lol, so fed wise you have the armitage or caitan atrox which is best and shy? Im tactical so needs to suit that, also are two hangars really worth the effort?

The Jem'Hadar are not big on interiors either . . .

That's why i have heard the Scimitar is getting it's all new - all exclusive interior - sales should be high. Like I said they leaked a picture that looked like a dungeon on the ships. So it's going to be very cool.

If I wanted to keep playing a FED toon then I would stick with the JHEC you already own if you are willing to settle for an escort carrier without frigates. Otherwise, I would roll a toon for another faction as they have better carriers for people that don't want to play science and they have frigate options by default.

The KDF Karfi has good tactical and science abilities favoring either capitan class in its BOFF layout, mounts cannons, cloaks, is kind of awesome with siphon drones, and fields good frigates (with a sometimes curse worthy AI but thats true of pets in general.) It may well get a fleet upgrade before long. I have been considering this option myself but want to see the scimitar first. A very versatile ship good for PVE or PVP. Its a console and bit of hull short now a days.

The Romulan Scimitar is upcoming. We do not yet know a lot about it (not even a release date) but even theoretically it has a lot of potential. It has been called a dreadnought carrier and will be a three pack ship. Drone frigates that can change weapon energy types in the field to match their enemy have been spotted on tribble along with blue grade scorpion fighters. It appears to be sporting an improved cloak. "Rumors" say the model has moving wing parts that unfold when it uses a special weapon.

Honestly i have played ever carrier and the best is the farfi. Even over the jhdc. Now if your fed only the j. Dred is the best, but i have heard many that like the recluse. STill the farfi gives you the access to cannons and a command sci, lt com tac, and awesome pets. You can even run antiproton cannons and be able to turn and use them effectively with an rcs module. Its not fast, but it probably can do the most damage of any ship in the game.

When it comes to escort carriers you have to be careful. While many of them look tasty, you have to remember that you dont need all those tac slots. Not really anyway. Many of them wil get doubled up or copys of other skils that you may never use. I personally think the best ship in this class is the Tactical vesta. You get the commander sci. 4 tac slots and lt com tac. It also has great maneuverability.

I would stay away form the atrox it needs a fleet version or update like many other ships that came out during the early years.
