Just picked up the Reman prototype covariant shields. Where can I get the other two pieces of the set?
Thanks.
Be warned. The deflector of the reman set is very role specific. If your not building a ship with the intention of using disable and stealth abilities you probably don't want it.
If you are building a ship with the intention of using disable and stealth abilities be warned that disables are heavily pre-nerfed and require a significant resource investment to make viable.
The prototype reman set is for plasma spamming science ships with viral matrix, mask energy signature/cloak and standard tractor beams. That is prity much it.
I think STO wiki has the incorrect stats list, as they appear to be the same when I know they have minor differences. I need to find this out since I'm about to hit T5 and wanna deck my Atrox out.
Hi, my name is: Elim Garak, Former Cardassian Oppressor
LTS, here since...when did this game launch again?
Because I've tested it out with a plasma torpedo launcher and the Hyper-plasma torpedo launcher and... I don't see a noticeable increase in my targetable torpedoes.

Don't tell me things like that . That would completely ruin my plans for my Romulan flying with both full sets (Reman Prototype and Romulan Singularity Harness).
I am running the Reman XII set, purchased through reputation.
Yes, the bonuses to the HY torpedoes do apply, and you will notice a speed increase in the projectile.
I chose not to concern myself with the bonuses; my goal was to build an engineering plasma tank. The end result has been very satisfying, and recent updates both to traits and skills, it has beceom a very effective ship.
I am adding Viral matrix now to take advantage of the extra bonuses.
Thanks for the extra information. I guess my escort does not need this set then. I am very new, still trying to figure out how the rep system works, I just made it to lvl 50 on my first character.
All the additional information is much appreciated.
Is there a difference in the two sets? The wiki shows that the deflectors are pretty much identical. The only difference I can see is that the engines swap starship maneuvers and starship attack patterns...

There is a slight difference in the Deflector. They are identical except for Reman Deflector has +30 Stealth Values. The Romlan Set has +15 Stealth Values and +2% Stealth Detection. And a slight difference in the ship visuals A lighter shade of green for the Romulan set.

The wiki also shows a very, very slight difference between the 3-piece set passive abilities; have not confirmed this myself.

As stated previously, the set has some very specific bonuses. You're better off looking for some more flexible (and affordable) gear first.
Forget the possibility of PvP, for so much has become pay-to-win, never to be balanced. Forget the promise of exploration and research, for in the grim dark future of Star Trek Online there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting publishers.
Can't help feeling there is some misunderstanding here. How could you possibly get to Tier 5 Romulan, unlock the Reman Shield, and not know how to then unlock the other two items?
I'm suspecting that what you have, is the Shield that is given as a storyline mission reward. This is NOT part of a set.
To be clear, the Reman Prototype Space Set, is available on completing tier 5 of the Romulan reputation, and so get grinding.
The one i have is the one that is given by reward from a mission and the tool tip specifically states it is part of a set and lists the other two things needed for the set. But I'm not home now so cannot give more details. I suspect the one you are referring to is Mk XII. This one is Mk X, but it does say it is part of a set.
The one you have does indeed work with the other two set pieces from the reputation system. I purchased only the extra two pieces and when added to the shield from the mission it completes the set and gives the bonuses for a full set.
The shields are slightly different as well. While they are both covariants the Reman has slightly more HP and the Romulan regenerates slightly better. Overall, I had this set on my main before LoR and was massively dissappointed with it. For the investment you have to put in, it just doesn't match the KHG or MACO sets at all. In fact, I would take assimilated mk X over Romulan mk XII. Also, while the speed and defense boost for plasma chuckers is really nice for Plasma, its still hopeless in PvP and TS > HY so its best asset is kinda meh. (any non-quantum torp in PvP is kinda weak anyways) Also, I don't pay enough attention to notice if the shield capacity 3 set bonus when hit is all that helpful or not.
BTW the visuals on the Romulan set are pretty slight in comparison to the Reman set which is probably the most unique visual of all the sets in the game minus the Borg Frankenstein abominations (sadly the abomination look is growing on me I might even like it before too long).
