Saving Character and UI Settings

Hey Everyone

I'm going to be downloading the game again after getting my new pc.

I was wondering if there is some way to save the settings for each of my characters including my UI settings as well, so I don't have to go through them all and try and remember what I had :)

Have any of you done this, if so could you let me know the steps please?

    If I remember correctly, when you log back in for the first time, the game should remember your UI settings (but they aren't saved). Once you get back in, go straight to the HUD section of the options panel and click Save UI. This should save a new copy of your arrangement. From there, just click Load UI for each of your characters.

    Notes for today's patch say we will be able to set the UI for each character (it has not previously been possible, as I can verify from personal attempts):

    Let us know if it works! I recently got a new computer and was surprised to see that when I reinstalled STO, that my UI was exactly as I remembered it.
