I think i know why Drozana Station has calmed down a lot.

Basically all the things like Biothermal Dampeners have been switched off, Shard of Possibillities, MUgato combat pets and anything like that that could be percieved as a niucance has had their spawn times reduced to about 10 seconds down from about 1 min plus.

All these things seem fine on other stations, but drozana they are massivly nerfed or just plain deactivated.

Its funny the one station that could be a open zone for all silly antics has been nerfed. Just means all the idiots or fun people (depending on your outlook) will just and spread their horror/fun elsewhere instead of having it contained in one place.

That could be part of it, I think they also reduced the amount of people in a single instance too. I did notice a lot of the RP folks are also not in there as often as they used to be. In fact, I don't think I've seen any Role Playing stuff going on anywhere, even at Quarks where it was commonplace. Aside from a gun battle between Feds and Kdf on Nimbus, things seem strangely quiet on that front.

A shame on both counts (especially on Drozona feeling so empty. Nowhere near as fun and lively as it used to be (though it is sorta nice not having that one guy going around whipping all the female characters with that Ferengi Whip.)

I think the new Drozana is just not as intimate as the old one. It's too big, for one thing.

Old Drozana had the RP zone in the middle and everything else off in one of the pylons. You could RP all day and only bug non-rp'ers as they passed through. Now everything is central and open, and less inviting for the admirals in Orion or TOS skirts to dance on the tabletops.

I was on Drozana Station the other day and there were a few players standing on top of the mail and exchange, shotting off there party poppers and ballon guns.

I guess they wanted to try and get the old feel of Drozana Station back.

But hey, you got to remember that Drozana Station is in the middle of the neutral zone and the way it used to be was to be like that, cuz it was ment to be a play for fun and party and socializing
I kinda miss the way Drozana Station was, it was a different place, and the only place of its kind!:)

It's one more fail from Cryptic as far as "social engineering" goes in STO .

Remember the MACO/Omega room that Roxy was in ?
Used to be a booming place ... .
Not so after the Omega Reputation came along .

How about when with S.7 they almost killed STF's with taking most of the awards from it ?
Yeah sure , the sheepole will go where we tell them to ... .

Same with Drozana ... , except with Drozana it was even more pointless . :(
RP-ers don't like it , trolls don't like it , there were posts about this before it was implemented ... .

    Ahh , memories . :)
Guess I have to put them on the shelf next to the actual social experiences that the long STF's were .

I actually like the new Drozana Layout, but because the amount of players in one instance has been reduced, it always looks empty.

I now find Nimbus III to be more of a social zone now, although there is no bank and exchange, which really needs to be put in there.

I think, once they increase (hopefully double) the current max capacity in the instance, then it would be greatly improved. You need people whipping the women, you need people jumping up to high places and letting party poppers off. THis just makes it feel less serious and more sociable methinks.

This guy seems to be onto something. It's all about the rep-grind now. Nobody has time to do anything else.

It sucks because the rep grind is basically pointless.
