Favorite Captain's Chair

We know we love them...we wish we had them....I know most of you pretend you're sitting on one now....and some of you might actually have them

What is your favorite Captain's Chair? Only in Star Trek can someone only have a chair no desk, and still look BOSS.

So what is your favorite chair...not bridge, not star ship, not captain...Just the chair....Hell you can hate the ship, but like the Chair.

For me my favorite is the classic TOS Captain James T Kirk's chair...whenever Kirk sat in the chair with his legs cross, and his hand at his mouth you knew who was the boss. Plus it was the original man cave center piece for a nerd living room.

and if you want what is your least favorite Captain's chair.

The one i like the least or just don't like is Janeway's chair....It never felt like a chair that someone was in charge, and I sometimes can't tell which is Janeways and which is Chakotay's. at least with every other Captain's chair you knew who was in charge.

Edit: oh yeah, and Non Starfleet Chairs count as well....Sorry Dominion you have to sit this one out.

Enterprise-D chair. It looked so comfortable and enveloping, not to mention the ergonomic control panels. And still it portrayed power of command. If I wanted to watch the Cestus III baseball games on the big scree..er, viewscreen, that would be the chair.

I like the Voyager chair if it was like this
instead of 2 seats, 3 seats with the middle one as captains seat slightly higher.

    Otherwise the excelsior chair.
Captain of the federation starship U.S.S. Iridium.

In the end.... we`re all Ferengi!

The chair that Trip Tucker was obsessively working on for Captain Archer in "Singularity." It sounded like it would be one hell of a chair, and Scott Bakula's about my size.

For Captain's chair I'd go with the Schimatar with the replicator attached, ordering a diet coke and trashing enemies...it's the only way to fly.

For an officer I like Malcolm's station on the NX-01, it gives everything at your fingertips and it rolls with you.

As for the one i want to be in for real...Wesley's helm chair, leaning back and going warp 9 chasing the Borg....every 20 yr old's Trekkie dream

Totally agree with this. I don't know if it was supposed to be a statement about equality or something, but it really demoted the captain's authority in my opinion.

I guess favorite would be Picard's chair on the D. Comfortable and still denotes who is in charge, though not too "in your face" about it since the two chairs on the sides are pretty nice themselves.

The Defiants, with those control panels at arms reach without cluttering up the sides of the chair.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Sisko's chair on the Defiant, you knew who was boss when Sisko sat in it

The defiant captain's chair for sure. However, the Enterprise A actually had a restraint system for Red alerts, so the Captain could scream about his shattered pelvis, while his crew was tossed about.

So, I would take the Defiant Captains chair, and replace my Throne of human skulls with it.:)

That's a good Top Targ chair, but I'd be afraid of falling off of that pedestal.
Klingon Generals should have an option of a chair resembling the Iron Throne, forged from the weapons of your fallen foes.

Clearly, the original chair from TOS. It's the only chair that's unique and stands apart. It's also raised from the floor

Starting with TNG the captain's chair is almost no different than the others. (And looks like something from a lounge.)

The BoP chair from Star Trek V. Yeah you heard me. Why? Because its the only captain's chair with a periscope on it, with weapon's control, that's why.

PS, look up next time you are on a Klingon bridge, they put the periscope in at least on some of them.

"Picards Chair", that was "later" redesigned to become Archers chair
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

TMP Enterprise chair. You know, where the sides can fold over the legs to keep the user from falling out.
