Are the lifetime sub benefits for one character only?

I just got a lifetime subscription today and made a new liberated borg but none of the benefits showed up..they did however unlock for my lvl 50 rom. So my questions is, because the Rom was highest did all the benefits only unlock for that character?

Yeah, at level 5 or 6 you'll get a massive amount of spam about unlocks. :) Confused me at first too.

I can confirm that my second character hit level 5 and got all the lifetime member items yesterday.

Yeah, some benefits are gated by level. It's especially rough on Romulans, as you can't claim things like the DS9 bundle until you hit level 10 and choose a faction.

Since they still wont let me post a thread I will highjack this one...

I played this game when it came out heck I have the pre-order stuff still tied to the account. I recently thought about playing it some just wondering would you recommend the lifetime sub or not and why... I know everyone has an opinion and would like to here some different ones before I drop the cash.

I play a lot of games so the idea of being able to quit and come back without having to mess with it definitely sounds good.

anyway give me some thoughts even if you hate it let me know why since the price goes up in 2 days and I wont be able to play enough between then and now to know for sure...

    thanks!!!

sorry for the hi-jack but they wont me post new threads ;)

If you're planning on coming and going in regular intervals, I would recommend just staying F2P. All of the goodies from the LTS are really nice but I would only recommend getting one if you plan on playing somewhat regularly for the next 2+ years to offset the cost of the sub.

I weighed the cost of a discounted lifetime membership against the cost of a one-year subscription. It pays for itself in 13 months, plus you get the benefits of a 1,000-day subscription on Day 1.

I bought the Lifetime a couple weeks ago, and I love it. Playable Borg are fun, but there's enough running around that they're not special. The Chimera escort is pretty good and it's always entertaining to fire off that phaser cannon. Having all the bank/inventory slots fully unlock as you level is nice. As are extra character slots. And the dilithium stipend is a good bonus.

Really, you're best off to either stay fully F2P and just buy the couple things you want, or go Lifetime for all the benefits. The monthly sub really doesn't measure up, and a Lifetime is about a year of sub (on sale) but you keep all the benefits after that time.

Thanks for confirming this. I am a Lifer since the beginning and was shocked when I made a new character in the Federation and did not receive all my legacy stuff immediately. I thought it was a bug or something.

Thanks for the input my last question on this would be, do you have to be a member of a guild/fleet in order to really enjoy the game or can you solo your way around ? I definitely would like to try the pvp after I level up some..

You only need to be in a fleet if you want to participate in the Fleet Holdings system. Building up a fleet Starbase, Embassy, and soon a Dilithuim mine. These holdings sell exclusive ultra rare equipment that cannot be found anywhere else. There are also several PVE queue missions that you cannot access unless in a fleet.

However things like the Reputation system can be done solo. All the story missions in game can be done solo, and the foundry is usually solo as well.

I recently did a one-month Gold membership just to try it out. My original Fed character is level 50. So I started a Klingon and a Romulan character. I'm wondering where my extra inventory/bank slots are. I'm getting the impression from this thread that they will come as I level up? Is that correct?

My month subscription ends in two weeks. If I haven't unlocked all the inventory/bank slots by then, will they still accumulate if I don't renew?

Also... what is there to do with a Level 50 Fed Admiral once all the storylines are completed?

OK, i remember reading about this when i was doing research on whether to go LTS or not

    http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/924226-star-trek-online/61565589

Basically, whatever was unlocked, you'll keep it. eg: inventory / account bank..etc

What is not clear is what will happen to the items you are supposed not to have
Eg:. if you delete your characters and create a new one, will that character have the extra slots ( i guess not )
eg2: If you created a char in the extra char slots, when you're gold, and delete it, will you still have hat extra char slot, which you are not supposed to have.

The LTS is worth it if you have the resources to pay for it without needing to slave over it in real life for ages, else it is not worth it

My take, go LTS when its on sale
Then when you're tired of the game, sell your account away ( you are allowed to change your account email address, if i'm not wrong ),

The stipend is just icing on the cake. Its a week's worth of grinding.
The chimera, is awesome as a tour guide, fast with a 60s Slipstream, and the size of the Chimera allows it to thread the Sibiran needle without missing it too often.
The android boff, i haven't used it.
Love the inventory slot extras though.
