A KDF player in his room at his computer with a Worf sash across his chest, headset on, hands quickly moving on keyboard
"The Federation is no match for the Klingon Empire, DIE you filthy Bataq!"
[Shot of KDF ship blowing up a T3 fed ship]
Fed player at his desk with a red shirt on throwing his hands up in disgust
[Shot of 5 Romulan Warbirds taking on KDF and Fed ships]
Romulan player with a headset that has Romulan ears on it
"You underestimate the might of the Tal Shiar!"
[Warbirds kill a KDF ship and Fed ship]
Successive shots of Fed, KDF, and Romulan players frantically working their keyboards
[Two more Fed ships blow up]
Frantic looking Fed player says over his headset "We're getting out numbered! Wait, theres a new ship warping in...its the Farragut!"
[Odyssey class Farragut warps in and starts taking down KDF and Romulan ships]
Escort Fed players are getting smiles on their faces as they work with the Farragut.
Frantic KDF player says "IT IS A GOOD DAY TO DIE!"
[Last KDF ship blows up]
Romulan player says "How is he doing this?! FIRE EVERYTHING!"
[Farrugat absorbs Romulan barrage, returns fire, takes out D'Deridex]
Shot of the Farragut players screen, camera pulls out and slowly looks down at hands calmly working the keyboard. Camera pivots as it looks down the arms and up the chest to reveal player is wearing a TMP red Fed jacket. Camera moves up to players face showing a mild grin. With glasses on William Shatner, turns to look into the camera while looking over his glasses and says
"Its all in the Captain" and winks.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
or if you must get the guys from big bang theory to play it on screen
and have the rescuing ship be commanded by Penny
shatner has a Big head and a loud voice
if you want a trek VO why not George Taki ?
He was after all the man actually FLYING the enterprise
Nah. If you cant laugh at yourself as a Trekkie and the silly things we do as a fanbase, stop being a Trekkie. Its not to look down on us, just guys enjoying their role playing when suddenly they start getting owned by Shatner who makes a killer STO captain. lol Its gotta be funny to stick in peoples heads.
I would assume getting Shatner for a quick one liner MIGHT be cheaper than getting TBBT to plug the game. But apparently Cryptic isnt confident enough in their product or PWE is too cheap or both as to why there hasnt been a tv commercial yet or TBBT plug.

We have good relations with some really good actors from trek (Denise crosby for example)
but this seems to be an advert for "escorts and shatner online"
Hmmm a commercial well that could be quite amusing to see although I doubt it, first of all they missed one of the biggest opportunities they had that being the latest Star Trek movie now I find it almost amazing that no one thought to try and promote the game on the back end of that but I guess not oh well lol.
Plus this game has way too many problems at the moment to be worth anyones time that's why am not playing at the moment instead am playing or doing something which doesn't bore me to tears or involve stupid amounts of grinding not to mention stupid amounts of time particularly in the rep system lol.
I envision an excited young woman, smashing keys in front of her computer screen... Concentration, and anticipation upon her brow.. Finally, the screen flashes bright, and she slumps in her chair with triumphant satisfaction as she says, "Yes! Got the game half patched before the connection was lost! Excellent!"
Scene switches to a young man, with a similar setup... The screen shows him piloting his starship through enemy lines, electric rays of doom blasting away. The screen goes blank. The young man punches the air with a yelp. Grinning, he says, "Sweet! That was the best ten minutes of epic, space combat ever!"
Queue adventurous, battle music. Various dramatic clips of loading screens and progression bars hurtle past at increasing pace.
Final shot is the glowing, STO logo with a iron voiced announcer reading the tag line, "Star Trek Online!! ...Realistically our servers are up more than they're down! ....Realistically."
or maybe this game just don't have a big player base to warrant tv ads
how do you define "big player base" because when LoR was released the servers were flooded with players for a week I think THAT define a big player base when the server are too full to handle every active player and then some
My characters are... FED: human male - poisonflame - U.S.S. Typhoon-D, vulcan female - T'Prel - U.S.S. Unity ROM: romulan male - enforcer - R.R.W. Pellecia KDF: none
(Enter a Space battle)
A Galaxy Class ship fires a torpedo spread at a BoP. The ship cloaks and comes around for a broad side pass...It decloaks and opens fire, suddenly a tracorbeam locks onto it and plasma is vented, catching the BoP on fire, the galaxy manuvers and fires high yield photons at the BoP, destroying it.
(Enter a kids room) (A Klingon sitting at a desk)
He slumps back in his chair, "beaten..by some Grignar cat!"
(Cut to another kids room) (A cat with a paw on a mouse looking at a laptop)
The cat looks over at the camera, "Thats, CatStar!" (Winks)
(Cuts to Star Trek Online, title screen and website address)
"Start your adventure for free online today with thousands of other players."
(Fade to random ship battles)Naration: " With dozens of ships to choose from.."
(Fade to ground combat) "...and hundreds of popular locations from your favorite star trek shows..."
(Fade to assorted interactions) Create your captain and live the star trek experience like never before!"
(Cut to galaxy class bridge with Caitian Picard in the captains seat)
"A whole new world awaits, come join us." (Caitian smiles and motions to engage)(star trek short theme plays)
(Camera pans to veiw screen, to show stars dragging for the start of a warp jump)
(Cuts to rear view of Galaxy class, ship warps out) (Star trek online words appear at top of screen, join today at in the center, website address at bottom) (fades to end)

Hehe! Very nice. ...Though that would more be akin to the expression after having the game crash right at the end of Candle in the Wind, before you could turn it in.
