I just got my Romulan to lvl 50 and I am a little dismayed at the prospect of earning every rep tier *again* so my question is, is the Nukara rep gear better than the Omega? Can I concentrate my efforts there as far as gear?

    I am by no means an expert, so someone who actually has all the gears could probably give you a better idea. That said, my understanding was that the Nukara gear is more in line with the Romulan Rep gear. There are some good novelty things, but if you are going for the "Strongest" gear, Omega/Fleet gear outstrips it generally. Again, I haven't looked at all of them stat wise, so take that for what it is worth.

    Thanks, I suppose I'll eventually do them all for the bonuses but I guess I'll sink time into duplicating the Omega line for gear.

    People grind romulan and nakura for perks. Which are very nice. Other than that fleet and omega equipment is better but honestly you won't notice much difference in PVE.

    Even in PVP your skills combined with tier V Romulan or Nakura equipment would be on par with Omega and fleet stuff. I know players in PVP who are armed to teeth with fleet stuff and get obliterated by skilled players in nakura and romulan space equipment.

    So many players are still doing great in their XI stuff and they don't even bother to get XII from Romulan Or Nakura..let alone Omega.

    I'm not doing any PvP yet but I definitely notice a big benefit to XI Assimilated gear in PvE on my Fed so I am going to shoot for that again. XII is too much for too little in my opinion.
