Yellowstone vs. Elite Orion Interceptors
Both have Chroniton Torpedeos, Yellowstone is tougher, Interceptors are way fast both as fighters vs. Shuttles, plus on top of that getting hyper impulse, Yellowstones have Eject Tetyron Warp Plasma which is major. Both have tractor beams, but the Yellowstone has Tractor beam III vs. I for the Orions. Energy Weapons wise the Yellowstone has a Phaser Array vs. The Orion's Disruptor Pulse Cannon, not sure which is better. Orion's also drain Engine and Weapons power.
Delta Flyer vs. Armoured Maurader. The Delta Flyer has the better armourment, the AM only has a pulse cannon and the Flyer has a Phaser Array, Transpasic Torps. Now Tecyon Beam III vs. Mauradering Force, The Beam is more reliable, because anyone with tac team or better yet 2 tac teams beats Mauradering Force, but if you foe doesn't have tac team and you have boarding party and the flight Deck Duffs that support boarding parties then your going to have a nightmare as boarding parties cause choas across all your systems randomly. In the case of MA it even increases BOFF ability CDs, which may help slightly with Tac Team sometimes.
Elite Orion Slavers vs. Elite 10 Shuttles. According to STO wiki Orion Slavers are shuttles and not fighters, honestly I had no idea. Both get Photon Torps but the 10's only get micro photons and the Slavers also get Quantum Mines as well. Phaser Array vs. Disrupter array, draw. Weapons wise The Slavers win. OnlySlavers steal, so no contest there either. Polarize Hull means the 10's do win on tankiness, but there so weak that its only a minor victory. 10's need Polarize Hull III and full photon Torps.
Elite Stalker Fighters vs. Elite Techyon Drones. Obviously Elite Stalkers are better armed with with a Tetryon Pulse Cannon and Dual Cannon vs. The Drones Tetryon Turret. Stalkers also win on stealth with Battle Cloak and Mask Hull Sig. AntiProton Sweep gets beaten by the Drones constant assault on shields with its Cycling Tachyon Beam. I don't know what the Stalkers Generator does.
The only difference between Elite Perigine Fighters and Elite To'Duj Fighter is Phasers vs. Disrupters. Easy Tie.
I have no fed fighter to compare the S'kul fighters too as Feds aren't insane enough to build and steal fighters like this ;p
Feds also don't have Thier own Frigates so no point comparing that either, same with Siphon Drones. Cross Faction Frigates are the same for each faction. I imagine the Armoured Shield Healing Shuttles are the same for both.
My Option the Yellowstones, Elite Stalker Fighters, and Delta Flyers are awesome, the Perigines are good, but the Elite 10 Shuttles are the worst Hangars in the game and need to be fixed. Also Feds don't have the selection the that the KDF does. The Atrox needs a Frigate.
The KDF doeasn't have any bad hangar pets, they're all good or great. KDF wins.
you have to admit, fed-wise, that is pretty impressive for exploration and scientific faction that doesn't' have carriers.

Yeah its not bad, they do have an interesting Aresonal and some good hangars, just not as many as the Klingons who kind of Specialize in Carriers.
Personally if I was in an Atrox I'd go with 2 Elite Stalkers, Mask Energy Signature for the Atrox itself, and max out New Rom Rep for the demi cloak ability, and maybe throw in Jam Sensors, and DHCs. Oh and Elite Deflectors. I'd do the same build for the Vo'quv but with QawDuns instead.
For the Escorts Carriers I'd go Yellowstone all the way, make my oppentants sitting ducks, while I blast them.
Dreadnaught Carrier, mix of Yellowstone and Elite Scorpions for the Feds and Elite Orion Interceptors and Elite Scorps for KDF.
For the Kar'fi I'd go with Elite Fer'Jai Frigates, because Elite S'kul Fighters got 20 extra damage on ramming and not much else.
Recluse I'd go Elite Mesh Weavers, they're like the wizards of Carrier pets, they have so much utility, plus Attack Pattern Beta benifits not just you damage, not just the Mesh Weavers, but your allies as well. Best team work Frigates.
Flight Deck Cruisers, Orion Slavers, thematic and profitable. Good shield stripping with constant beams from every direction, photons have the best dps of torps, and the Quatum mines give good surprise spike damage, because you never know when one of these will hit.
But as an Alternate Elite Orion Interceptors as the Elite Slavers are not profitable in PVP and Escort mobility is a grave threat, perfect for the Elite Interceptors.
Vesta I'd go with Armoured Shield Repair Shuttles and Recall Flight Deck Officers, for shield tanking and extra defence.
i still think that the elite federation fighter should be the type 9 cause those are just bad TRIBBLE to begin with lol and they look awesome to add on top of that. plus we hardly ever see the type 9 in game and i think it would be a good thing to see them back in game as a high level shuttle
I have done some tests between Yellowstones and interceptors, and at best its a draw. I would actually give the edge to the interceptors for a couple reasons. First, the tractor beam 1 isn't a major drawback - 12 of them get the job done. Second, the weapon and engine drain that they do is huge. It's true that you might get stuck in Yellowstone goo periodically, but it doesn't much matter if the enemy is shooting you with the equivalent of a bb gun. Third the drain beams act like a massive arrow pointing to the enemy - its a thing of beauty seeing pugs join in on my target because it is so obvious. Fourth, and the best imho, is the hyper engines. Those engines are awesome. They are able to hunt down even the fastest escort, and if someone is doing an alpha bop, I usually destroy them because the pets are there instantly and the bop has no weapon power to execute the alpha.
Siphons don't have a fed equivalent, but they are freaking awesome.
Marauders are best used in teams. They are very tough to destroy and combined with a boarding party build they are very potent. They often get dismissed because they are cleaned by tt, but that is a mistake. Most serious teams have a sci with subnuc .. so a subnuc combined with multiple system disables is usually fatal. Very potent.
Ill take slavers every day. I mean what's not to like there?
You didn't mention the Qaw'duns. Those pets have quad disruptors, rf3, and can cloak. Best of all they can be put on a mirror ship that costs practically nothing. There is no cheap starting option for the feds and they have no pets with quads.
Its no contest between kdf and fed pets. Kdf wins hands down. They win from a cost of entry standpoint, they win in terms of variety, and they win in terms of lethality. During my tests over the last week with the new pets, win or lose, most of my opponents have been incredibly frustrated. More than one have said they almost punched their monitor ... the fed pets just cant build that reaction.
KDF Hangar units have been developed long ago (not counting Elite versions). We ARE after all, the original carrier using faction. And the Vo'Quv has been holding the line since Day 1.
Yeah the Qaw'Duns sound brutal to be up against. The reason why I didn't compare them is there is nothing in the Federation that is equivlant, they don't have thier own Frigates, if the Feds want Frigates they have to use Dreadnaught or Recluse. The closest abilities wise is the Elite Stalkers who share a battle cloak.
I knew the Armoured Mauraders were tougher then previous Mauradering force shuttles, but I didn't realize AMs were that tankable, cool. I also never thought of using subnuc to deal with tt, brillant.
I've always taken issue with the power of tractor beams from these shuttles. Attach a Harpoon Gun to the frame your car and fire it at a moving semi. What happens? I bet it's not that the semi comes to a full stop lol. Tractor Beam 3 is way too much.

We don't know exactly how the Emitters work right now, but it sounds like you won't get board with the variety.
Tractor beams work, according to Trek canon, by focusing gravitons. You can therefore assume that the emitter would be the focal point of all those gravitons, and therefore have the greatest mass along the beam's length. It would also follow that the mass could theoretically be infinite, and is only limited by how much power is available for the beam. Stick a big reactor or warp core in a shuttle, and it could, by this logic, hold a much larger ship in place.

the flying/shooting AI in the ferjai frigates for instance is so TRIBBLE that i made a thread especially for them presenting a combat log stats
it showed basically that for every 1000 turret shots there was only 1 cannon shot , not to mention abismaly rare usage of tricos , sambe goes for the voquv birds of prey .
if those pets AI would be fixed and they would actually act like a person who was flying a frigate and activate powers that are not on cool down and actually turn to face the enemy and not just try to circle it in odd degrees.....well then

the weavers stack their beta up to 3 times so on elite version thats Beta III x 4 ...just 1 gap in ur tactical team and bye bye ship .
anyway ..thats my proposal ..stick to the beam pets in pvp .
Your confusing interceptors with slavers, interceptors have pulse cannons, not beams, the slavers have beams.
That being said pulse cannons must have great wide angles they can attack in, because my advanced interceptors have no problem hitting things with them, although I find they also fire alot of chroniton torpedoes as well, maybe its just the different between frigates and fighters.
I have taken Slavers into PVP as well and they do better then expected.
I took a look at an advanced drone another player was using and its hull is 10000ish while orion fighters have 4600 hull each.
I'd still love to see the stats for the elite drones.
I also noticed that the new carrier UI has not been added yet, hopefully soon.

With every NPC ship zippign around the maps running EPTE 2 (annoyingly so, I may add) any pet that has some sort of speed debuff is VERY handy now.

That is why I LOL alot when I see Rom Rep torps in PVP, or an overdependance of them.
