Romulan, Crafting, and Horta Research

Wiki's a little light yet, and I haven't fully explored the Flotilla, but where can Romulan characters craft items?

Also, related question; I can't remember if the Horta Mineralogy Research is transferable or not. Is it?

Trying to figure out the best way to get my Reman a combat pet; shelling out 50 lobi for a baby horta and leveling it up, or shelling out 400 Zen for a Cstore variant.
A Trill, a Gorn, a Jem'Hadar, Bejoran and a Voth walk into a bar, and the Bartender asks "What is this a Joke?"
"Nope, just my away team" the trill replies before ordering a round for the bar.

for crafting you have to go to your ally's crafting area: so memory Alpha for fed alligned or Qo'nos (sp) for KDf alligned

Havent really used the hortas other than the basic crafted one ( which isnt very good imo) so cant really help on that

You can get a combat Horta pet by running the mission "Mine Enemy" twice to get the hatchling and the research (which are both bind on pickup) and then doing research at Memory Alpha or First City.

    No purchase necessary! :-)

Yeah, forgot about that mission, though that's a bit down the line. My Fed didn't get it until she was well over level 50.
