I am SO SICK of elitists in STO. Just the other day, I was pointing out in the forums how the borg are too hard, and some ELITIST told me to SHUT UP? Do you believe that? Everyone knows cubes are OP, just ask anyone in my fleet. FOR EXAMPLE, I fly a galaxy class with an optimal build, meaning I have one beam of each energy type and one of each type of consol, no duplicates..those are for n00bs. I run mark 11 shields too! And the cubes always kill me. SO OP!
But no, those stupid elitists tell me to L2P, as if I don't already know!
Then I bring up how the romulan missions are OP, and more ELITISTS make fun of me! They should be banned! I'll have you know my 70 year old grandmother died during one of them (granted, it was during a bout of narcolepsy). Is that fair that she should have died? How can she have fun if she dies?
Another thing. I spent REAL MONEY on a point defense consol, and I still die! I want a refund!
In short, please nerf everything, challenge is hard.

I find this attitude of yours amusing. You think you are so high and mighty simply because you read a few guides on how to make a shipbuild that isn't complete garbage, possibly adding in a few custom keybinds to make your life easier, and you assume that this game has any difficulty or that other players lack skill to play?
STO has by far the lowest skill-cap of any MMO I have ever played.
Does it require you to understand that over half of the options are complete garbage and should be avoided? Does it reward a player who knows how to min/max to get stupidly strong performance from their ships? Why yes it does. But never, ever, think for a moment this game requires even a tiny about of actual skill. Knowing that EPtS+TT+HE = LOL@borg tank is not the same as skill.
Nor is the lack of that knowledge from a player who simply wants to play the game a sign of a poorly skilled player. Believe it or not but the fault lays with Cryptic who refuse to create a balanced game environment or to educate players in game about how to create effective ship builds/layouts.

You know, I bet it's them that stop Cryptic from releasing the Tier 10 Constitution class with 1,000,000 hull points and quintuple heavy cannons that turns on a dime. And they keep stealing content from the KDF to keep them down :rolleyes:

Lol, why would you shoot the gate. You can't take it down until the generators are down and you'll just draw useless aggro.

The galaxy class is the best ship in the game right? Cuz it is the enterprise d so it's awesome. I play with mark EIGHT turrets and I still die WTF
Then all these people say that I am bad and I can't play WTF I have been playing i'll have you know for OVER TWO MONTHS
I am a veteran for sure so I don't know what their problem is but obviosuly these cubes are way too hard to kill and all missions are impossible seriously
I lolled....
this game is very simple, far easier then most other MMORPGs, it doesnt take alot of skill to play..
As a Word of advice, To everyone.. Go Engineer.. Nothing more OPed in the game then that.. :P, get a big cruiser, Load it with all beam banks, Use Mod energy 3, Beam fire at will 3, or 2.. Depending on your ship.. and.. Tac team.
Proven effect against all enemies, Since STO foundation.
