equiped kits

why do they show up on other races but not klingons

    They only show on Federation chars. They don't show on any species of the KDF and as far as I've seen, they don't show on Romulan Republic chars either.
    It is some clipping issue or some eternal bug, I don't know, but ever since I started playing STO the KDF didn't have the kit visuals. The strange thing is I like it that way. :P:D

    Agreed, and I keep kits and armor visuals turned off on my fed as well. Just looks weird with those things on.

    It's one thing that doesn't work that I am glad for. There should be an option in the game settings to permanently turn that rubbish off. Same with the guns showing up on the back, they look silly imo.

    There is an option.. its called disable visuals.. or click the little icon in the image...

    My fed Reman does show the MKX tactical kit, which blended with his clothing, looks very cool imo. even if it is a bunch of collision detection errors having an all out orgy on his chest.

    having the option to turn on the visual is cool, but with KDF shoulderpads etc i don't think they would work too well.. I like pistols at the side, as they make sense, and are familiar with watching the series and movies. Rifles however, are carried by the strap, over a shoulder, not neatly in the middle. but w/e. I usually walk around with a pair of pistols strapped to the side, and just have a rifle in inventory or ready to swap.

    Fed armor visuals could really use revamping someday tho, Personally Im more worried abou deleting mail, which apparently is very hard to figure out how they broke it

    Dstahl: Yes, but it will be through the character creator when we introduce a new kit mechanic we?re working on.

    Not fond of the Kit and Armor looks in STO. Just doesn't look "Star Trek" to me. I turn those appearance features off with my Federation characters.

    The only thing that I allow to show on characters are pistols. Some of them look pretty decent at the hip. And even then, only if they don't look oversized like ground phaser pistols. They look like giant, curved ******s.

    Disruptor pistols look alright, though I wish the higher mark versions didn't have those outward curved blade looking things. The Elite Fleet Disruptor Compressor Pistols look quite differrent and don't have stupid blades, which is a good thing.

    Romulan Plasma Pistols (not the Preexisting plasma ones) like the Repeaters look great, IMO.

    Cannot wait for this poll! I'll be voting for a Dominion "faction". Would be awesome because everyone would have all of the Gamma Quadrant to explore also! I just want to roll a jem'hadar!!

    I hope the next thing they do is a bug bash patch where they fix a lot of the long standing issues the game suffers from like lack of kit graphics and costumes for the KDF or issues that effect everyone.

    A Bug Squash season with additional KDF stuff like some T5 ships (D5 Science ship, and BOP buff Cryptic) and many more KDF costumes would be a real welcome season to me, something I could look forward to rather then being annoyed that I have to download a large patch just to see what bugs are old and what ones are new.
