After the new expansion I noticed all the drunk Borg sphere are flying around like *******.
I'm sure its a new "feature" that makes them harder to hit or something, but it is not working properly atm.
1. For eample, the PvE mission, Infected: The Conduit. When engaged with them, they will use their skill to boost their engine flying around blindly, hitting the gate or whatever. Sometimes I can't even target them when they stuck in the gate.
2. In the movie, Borgs are come to you, not running away from their target. If you really want to make them harder to hit, at least make them flying small circle around their target, not running away and bumping stuff.
In celebration of the launch of LoR, the Borg have decided to assimilate Romulan Ale. The result is as you have seen.
Joking aside, yeah I saw this and it made me laugh. I just thought "Man, my shiny new warbird must be reeeeally scary if Borg are running from it." It's annoying having to chase them down though. Hope it gets fixed up soon. :P
EPTE seems pretty out of control, it can't be working as intended with the absurd speeds I see both players and NPC's get with this, its almost like full impulse.
For now in ISE I just switch targets rather then chase them. Hey if they want to run when they are supposed to be trying to kill me I won't stop them. Once their EPTE expires they tend to drift back towards you anyway.
It was really fun right up until you realise you wont get the optional, because the Borg has assimilated turbo boost and they scatter all across the map....
I love how the spheres seem to all pop it at once when someone drops a Gravity Well, so they zip right out in different directions instead of bunching up.
Apparently, there's a one-size-fits-all approach to enemy strategies now. Borg don't act like Borg. It would be cool if different factions used unique flying patterns and tactics.
The borg sphere pinball action is kind of funny to watch.
Not sure if devs wanted them to move around more so we'd have to fly after them. But I just ignore the ones that fly away from me and attack the Cubes or Gates that are the real targets.
Like someone else said if they want to run and keep being 10Km away from me its fine with me.

lol so you are the one that scared them off and are still running....are you relative to Chuck?

yes that s really a problem, i used to target them, stop, kill them and go to the next one some times only using reverse or slow speeds, but now I have to chase them all over and loose time.
At least I can use my engines skills in more ways than only escaping when in trouble :P
And it s kind of funny to see others also running up and down chasing balls :P
I just snag 'em with a tractor beam and that usually slows them down enough for me to keep up, and I can blast them to shreds in the 10-15 seconds the tractor beam is on 'em.
Borg Collective - "We are the Borg, you will be assimilated! We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to.......OH S***!!! It's the Romulans, quickly fly away!!!"
they could simply remove EPtE from spheres you know, and add say EPtW to replace it, it makes a hell lot more sense for borg to have high firepower than be "fast".
I like it myself, and counters do exist as already mentioned.
I'd much rather have enemies that at least simulate survival by getting away from the ship trying to kill them than some stationary target that barely moves when it gets a full alpha/broadside in the face.
I'm sure it'll get nerfed, a casualty of the much more serious EptA problem. Shame really.

since when the borg ever ran(except from the undine during voyager)?
and they're not simulating survival, they're bumping into the gate nonstop, they're simulating drunk piloting.

I had a witty answer all prepared, then saw this post and decided there's no way I can follow that. You totally win the thread.

It is a peculiar phenomenon that we can imagine events that defy the laws of the universe.
When I first read this I thought you said "Spaceballs" - now I want to play a Spaceballs MMO.

It is the most fun I've ever had in ISE, in a really stupid way, though.
