Problems with login, account, and Game Servers

When trying to log into the game, I frequently have the game fail to log on, usually when it says it is trying to connect to the account server or the login server (connection to the login server timed out).
Often when switching zones (not 100% of the time, but 50-75%) the game will kick me off, saying it timed out to connecting to the GameServer. This includes all zone changes, to or from sector space, systems, planets, or sections of a starbase. Any loading screen can cause this, including Normal and safe Logins from the character screen.
This starting happening yesterday, May 30th. It has gotten slightly better as a result of the patch applied on the 31st, but is still very persistent. Our internet service provider checked the quality of our line less than 30 days ago, so it is not client side lag.
This error is persistent enough to make the game nearly unplayable, and definitely unplayable without frustration.

At exactly 0000 UTC the game server stops responding and attempts to login in is just impossible. Sure i can login to account server just fine but it takes long for the characters to load (almost a sure sign that maps won't load afterwards). Upon selecting a character, the game just switches to star field background and does nothing. Its just stays there until it disconnects about a minute later. No indication of the "Retrieving list of maps" message nor does it show the loading screen and even if it does.. it stops at around 90+% then the 'Server not Responding' message appears again till it disconnects.
Activating a new game doesn't help and actually worse since the launcher won't even be able to make it to the Engage button.
This goes on for the a long time for me roughly from 0000 to 1600 UTC and afterwards logging in is flawless, characters show up quickly, Loading time is fast, and the game doesnt lag at all.. well for 8 hours or until close to 0000 UTC again the next day.
This has been going on for me since last week. I have yet to determine if the problem is from my internet service or from the game server but I feel it is the latter since I surf the net and play other MMO's with no issues whatsoever. Only STO is the one having problems.
I'll prolly try out other Cryptic Games to see if the same problem arises. That way t won't be just speculation on my side.
