Slowly building up my rommie science guy, my first science character so im still learning him, any suggestions on what Romulan ship i should go for once I hit lvl 50? I have Fed tac and Engineer so i can do dps and tanking on those characters so this rommie is about Science abilities.
any suggestions on what Romulan ship i should go for once I hit lvl 50?
Well, there's a couple of things to consider in this initially.
1) The only thing separating any of the Careers in Space are the 5 Innate Captain Abilities and the 2 Career Specific Traits.
2) The only Romulan Science Vessels are the Ha'nom, MU Ha'nom, and Fleet Ha'nom.
Taking those two things into consideration, it will come down to why you selected Sci. Was it for the package of Sci Captain + Sci Vessel? Was it just for the Sci Captain? Or was it just thinking about a Sci Vessel and thinking you had to take a Sci Captain?
Something else to consider is non-faction lockbox Science Vessels, where it's possible you wanted the Romulan character but aren't necessarily interested in the Romulan Science Vessels.
From the sound of it though (er, the read of it); you're interested in the Sci BOFFs and a ship that has them. That does potentially open up the door to non-Sci Vessels, depending on how far into Sci you want to go.
Yep, I know this doesn't appear to be much help - but in the end, it's more of an internal process, imho. What do you want to do? Which ship would best allow you to do that? Tada, there's your answer. Yes, that answer may definitely be affected by the thought process of what a group might need...so you have to ask yourself if that is your thing - is it a what do you want to do or a what you want to do in a group? As you go through that process, have that idea of what you want, then it may reach the point where you're undecided between one or more ships...and bam, with a little explanation of what you're looking to do - you ask - folks answer...and hopefully it works out.

You're pretty much hitting the nail right on the Head with this.
I went with Romulan Science Captain because I wanted to fly a slick Romulan Science vessel.
The Ha'nom Guardian Warbird is a decent vessel but it just seems to plain when compared to a lot of the +1 vessel that the other 2 classes have access to.
At the very least there should have been a +1 version of the Ha'nom Guardian Warbird included in the Legacy Pack but there is not.
I'm hoping that Cryptic comes up with and nice +1 Romulan Vessel soon because I'm about to shelve my level 50 Romulan Sci and just role a Romulan Tac or Eng because have crazy ship options to choose from.
The lack of Romulan Science Vessels just seems like an oversight.

If you can afford it in Lobi or EC, a good lockbox ship for you would be the Tal Shiar Adapted Battle Cruiser. The boff layout makes it good for any captain, and I've seen science captains do extremely well in them to date. Can't give you much advice outside of that since I'm more experienced with tactical.
So just quick question. Why use the T'Varo retrofit when you can use the Dhelan retrofit. You have more hull with the Dhelan and you get 1 more tact console for a bit more DPS if needed.

A little extra hull doesn't matter much when you use the Valdore console that has a chance per energy weapon hit to recharge your shields.
Plus you get the red plasma torpedo of doom. This thing rocks. Period.
The destabilized torpedo and the advanced combat cloak are the what makes this ship shine, and so much fun to fly.

this, plus, coming from KDF side, after years of fun with the B'Rel, there is nothing better than advanced battle cloak on a sci torp. boat!

Ok stupid question but where do you get the console from cause I am really tired atm and cant think straight lol. If it is from a ship I had leveling I probably got rid of it not realizing lol. What kind of builds are people using with the Tvaro?

The console that recharges your shields is the one from the Legacy Pack/C-Store Tier 3 Valdore.
with my sci rom i went with the Ha'Nom at sub admiral and when i reached 50 i went for the Dhelan retrofit ( cstore) its very sciencey with a tactical punch .
I plan to use both ships depending on the my mood and needs of the fleet at that time .
for cannon builds then use the Dhelan
for beams builds use the Ha'Nom

Watch it be the Scimitar/Carrier like the KDF.
Hanom Attacker
How on Earth did you get the MACO/Borg MK XII on your Romulan already?!?
you can also set it up as a PVP healing ship
Just throw a science officer into the universal spot.
