Romulan bridge officers and how do you get more of them?

So how do you get more bridge offices without using the exchange to buy officers sold by others? Also the only ways currently to get offices are from the one-time perks in the episode missions and when you hit a pre set rank or level.

I have not seen a single Boff recruitment mission for a boff mission that was not for an ally office and not a Romulan or Reman.

I would like from for help from the community if they have found how you do it or is this is a major issue for this sub-faction?

Correct but those are not real boffs just embassy boffs. I don't know if you have noticed but they don't have the needed traits and allied boffs can not train Romulan boffs.

For example I need Aux Structure 3 but my KDF boffs in my roster can not "train" a Romulan/Reman Eng boff.

Those aren't even Romulan boffs as far as the game is concerned, they're unique Federation boffs. You can't use them to train Republic boffs, nor can you customize their appearance.

At New Romulus, there is a officer vendor that will allow you to purchase common Romulan bridge officer candidates.

    Just an FYI ...

When I went to Sol station (either in the station or outside - I cannot recall), I was actually able to train my Rom BOFFs using the Human BOFFs I had in the queue. I had tried at New Romulus, at the flotilla, and the option to 'train up' did not appear at either of those places. I trained my Rom Tac BOFF in APO3 and my Rom Eng BOFF in APtSI3 using the 2 human officers I had acquired for that purpose. Needless to say, I was pleased.

Currently, the only way I know of to recruit random Romulan/Reman Boffs is leveling. Which remind sme of season 5. :D Purple Boffs used to be worth some major coin.... now the only ones that sell are the ones with rare skills.

WoW they need to add a new Doff mission that lets you recruit Romulan Boffs and maybe place it at Romulan command so it does not mess up the stupid faction system.

Yeah, I would like to have a way to do Romulan Recruitment/Enlistment Doff assignments, so I could recruit more Romulan Doffs. I have gotten a couple of Orion Doffs from the Orion NPC at the Klingon Academy, which is great, but Romulan Doffs would be nice, too, since I'm a Romulan, after all.

Looks like Boff recruitment can be done at the New Romulus Command Center, but I've yet to find any place to pick up Romulan Doffs.

Yes, Romulan players should have a set of DOFF missions where the players can recruit Alien/Romulan/Reman bridge officers. I fail to see why those missions are not ship board. As a temporary fix, those missions could be handed out once a week by a contact at the flotilla.

Correct but what we are looking for is Doff missions to get more Boffs not more Romulan Doffs.

You can use your ally faction Bridge Officers to train your Romulan Officers.

I know that not too long ago there was no Train Up option when you clicked on an allied BO but just yesterday I clicked on my Gorn Engineer and had the option to train my Romulan Eng ASIF3 but choose not to since I can't slot the skill on my Romulan Science vessel.

That appears to be hit or miss. Also, I think a great number of folks are looking for ways to get their hands on the elusive Subterfuge + Superior Infiltrator/Operative boffs.

So I understand i am pretty lucky to have gotten a second purple Tac boff while leveling,(superior covert, and subtrifuge) but I still want to replace beam overload 3 with torp spread 3. I know th beam overload 3 boffs are rare but that ability is useless to me in a cannon torp escort. Like all of you I was dissapointed to buy a human only to find it couldnt train my rom boff.

It really should be noted on the boff details, that you can use the offcer but not cross train the two allied factions.

Second note, i got a rare engi Boff (not a doff)with basic wararefare specialist.

    1) suprised its on an engi and not a tac but mehhhhhhh not complaining
    2) i thought that was only available from the old currncy conversion veteran boffs

It'll get better once the tribble patch goes live. With DOFF missions to recruit Rom/Rem boffs, it'll help quite a bit I think.
