I'm running a Ha'apax Advanced Warbird. I'm taking non-critical hits from a single photon torpedo from it is blowing through my shields and my armor and knocking my hull strength down to 22%. Is anyone else having this issue?
People are getting 1-shot with full health and shields by torpedoes, and not inside the STFs for once.
I don't know why Cryptic had to go fooling around with powers in the first place. Seeing NPCS and players fly around like fighters than multi-million ton starships (aka it's more Star Wars than Star Trek......again). NPC Torpedo spreads wiping out groups. Shields not being as resiliant as they use to be.
that explains much, was wondering what the hell was happening. full shields and suddenly dead...and still showing shields up.
ha'feh i thoguht because maybe it has less resistences, no rep gear yet...some weird mechanic for the rom ships. but in my kar'fi the same thing happened. TS by a unimatrix in hive onslaught, 90% hull full shields....dead. it wasn't consistent though, survived several spreads no prob. same with the ha'feh, it doesn't seem consistent.
every now and then a random troll torp spread that either kills you or comes close to it through your shields.
on the flip side thise seems to work against enemies as well...several hive onslaughts killed the queen through her shields. they never went into the red, and in one match never even went yellow for long.
kar'fi setup as a torp boat, wonder if for some reason it's randomly multiplying the damage through shields instead of subtracting it, bleedthrough is supposed to be reduced by xx% if the game randomly multiplied...or moved the decimal point and multiplied. you'd see those kind of instant deaths.
or it's not counting the sheilds at all in some cases...server lagging bad could cause that.

And forget PvP, it's an utter disaster.
Wrong.
Star Wars is where the big ships actually move like big ships (slow, cumbersome, and deliberate). You will never see a typical Star Destroyer moving around in an engagement like a Galaxy class.
Not the best comparison, given the massive size difference (ex. An Imperial-II class Star Destroyer is much larger, with about 11x the maximum crew compliment, just to put it into perspective), but there isn't much of a baseline between the two aside from published specs, which fanboys of both sides will ignore regardless.
I will agree about PvP being a disaster though (which has always been the case, though it wasn't as bad early on).
As a Science Romulan it seems odd compared to fed science that my shields go down to quick where as fed science cap's have strong ones, but im guessing it cause romulans dont have proper science ships.

The Ha'nom Guardian Warbird is a "proper" science ship. Complete with Subsystem Targeting, Sensor Analysis, +15 to Aux, and a 1.3 shield modifier.
