The benefit of Neverwinter's launching prior to Legacy of Romulus is that they were able to iron out some of the network traffic issues that might show up in our data center. We believed we were in good shape for launch, but the unexpected can always happen.

Apologies, but this warranted highlighting. Perhaps dStahl could make a state of the game address on the forums, given the recent days bumpy ride.

Question: Why do these interviews keep going to the same person who has a track record of mass insulting the community with ignorant and offensive comments, and doing so in public? That sounds like defacto support of those comments being demonstrated by continuing to grant these interviews to her. It says quite a bit of about what this company really thinks of its customers

    Terilynn Shull @Massively
We've noticed a lot of voice-over work contained in the Legacy of Romulus content, and it certainly seems to add flavor to the content. Are there any wishes or plans to go back and add some voice work to the Klingon and Federation factions?

    Daniel Stahl
Legacy of Romulus represents the most VO work we've ever done for an update, but as you point out, it makes us wish we could go back and add VO to all the other missions. Eventually we'll get there, but we will wait and see how the VO is received in the expansion before we make that call.

Can I just say here, that the *VOID* of voice over is now glaringly obvious, and the Fed side actually seems dead now... I know it will be a *huge* undertaking, and likely not a cheap one.. but day-um... it's really needed now.

I remember back in closed beta, pre-launch of the game.. players were given the ability to choose from a list of voices for their captains, but was taken out.. due to, I assume, the limited number of choices. I hope that if more V.O. can be worked into game, these can also be returned.

As an aside... I would be willing to voice anything... I am a nobody, and would not need payment (unless you could be convinced to drop some dilithium or lobi into my account.. <grin>) and I'm sure there are those in the player-base that would be willing to offer the same. I don't know how reasonable that is... but there's the offer.

I was more amused by his "talking at the fans" in relation to hardware issues ... :
    The downfalls are few.

But when they come they are spectacularrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !
we're a different game that is physically located on different machines than the Neverwinter game.

Yeah , that bit had "noting to do" with the non stop criticism of the lags & crashes that started the second Neverwinter went into Beta ... .

I believe "Get yer game off our servers !" was the mantra of the day-week-month . :P
The biggest cost comes in network engineering manpower because of the need to monitor both games simultaneously.

Champions Dan ... , you have another game called Champions ... .

I'm convinced that they're doing their best to forget that CO exists considering the shape that game is in. When asked if they were ever going to get the lair review that was promised (revamp of their dungeons basically) their rep came back and told them that the lair system is held together with nothing but "scotch tape and prayers" and that any time they try to do anything to it, the entire system as a whole breaks. The end result is that nothing can be done about it. Instead they throw more vehicles at the few players they have left. Even a few gaming media sites put out some articles questioning the bad state that game is in. So yeah, I'd imagine Cryptic wants to forget that CO happened at all lol.

This is one of the reasons I stopped playing CO. Lack of updates, upgrades or fixes. It wouldn't hurt Cryptic to stick some of it's people on CO and give it some of the care and attention it pays on STO.

The only reason I think CO is still running is they don't want to lose revenue from it, or the butt hurt from closing the game down and all the subscribers who didn't get their money's worth.

Interviews are great...but notice that the "emergency patch" title got closed on the forum as soon as it was posted? I've attempted to log into the game for over two hours since the "maintenance." No luck, except to log in, get to New Romulus Command, and then not be able to interact with anything...the bank, the exchange, turbolift. I can't beam out. Then, as I'm troubleshooting, I get kicked from the server.

I'm a life-time member. I've played the game well over a year. I love the expansion, but IT NEEDS TO WORK OR THE CONTENT IS A MOOT POINT. Let's get the game workable before crowing about it ladies and gents...your community is becoming increasingly discontent with the excuses, particularly since Season 7 had just as inauspicious a launch, bugs, login failures, etc.
