Warbirds need variety in boff layouts

i am well aware a romulan can use the ships of whichever faction they are allied with, but we should not have to just because our ships do not support our profession path properly.

The biggest eyesore example of this is at level 30.

if you are an engineering path, then you are just fine, since the D'D is geared perfectly for the slow moving beam boat setup with massive hull, low turn, and engineering stations galore.

What is worse is you lost the Lt Commander tactical slot you had with the Mogai, and drop back to a Lt one. Why?

What if you are a Tac or Sci officer? Where is the speedy escort or balanced raptor style ship? Perhaps an upgraded mogai at that tier?

it seems to me like the ships are completely messed up for the warbirds. You start with an escort, then move to a sort of sci/escort hybrid, then to a cruiser that a tac officer might love to use, and then to basically a cruiser dreadnaught. This doesnt make sense to me.

I shouldnt have to fly a klingon or fed ship just to match my profession path. Unless you are an engineering path, you get the shaft at this point. We need balanced choices at this tier (and to a lesser extent at the mogai tier, that ship is still pretty slow turn wise)

Doesn't get any better at Level 50 unless you have seen a ship which would be really useful for a Science which is not a Tier 5 Starbase Fleet Ship...
C-Store Inc. is still looking for active members on the fed side. If you don't have a fleet feel free to contact me in game @stegi.

    Depends on what "useful" means.

The Ha'nom is basically a RSV with Nebula-style tanking and turnrate combined with a battlecloak.
    I don't think that's soooo bad.

Yeah its a FLEET SHIP as I said and TIER 5 on top of it not everybody has a 500man fleet ready on TIER 5. So there is no Science Vessel until you reach that and spent 2000 zen on fleet ship modules.

Totally agree, after reaching lv 30 yesterday in science career, what did i find as a free ship,a battle cruiser which is suited for engineer wtf,i deleted toon and started again in tac career, after reading this i've found science and tac career is useless in the free ships as they are geared for engineering career which no one does, unless its companys way of getting us to pay a wheelbarrow full of zen for their other ships.

    Okay, let's try this again.

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Ha%27nom_Guardian_Warbird

"The Ha'nom Guardian Warbird is a Subadmiral (Tier 5) level Warbird. "

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Fleet_Ha%27nom_Guardian_Warbird

"The Fleet Ha'nom Guardian Warbird is a Vice Admiral (Tier 5) level Warbird. This vessel is an upgraded version of the Ha'nom Guardian Warbird. "

Do you understand the difference between the two?

Or to make it more clear: >There is a non-fleet version of the Ha'nom.<

The ability and ship direction change of ships at level 30 is garbage, but as for variety of ships, you are just going to have to wait. It took years for Feds to get ships, KDF are still waiting for variety. Chances are they'll reskin and slightly modify some some ships and sell them as zen ships soon enough though.

I agree the fixed station layouts we're getting suck, id like to see a fleet dhelan with a LC Engi rather then a LC Sci...

You're making the rather amusing assumption that a captain's profession somehow dictates what ship they fly.

there really does need to be another more manuverable option rather than forcing you into something so slow and cumbersome, that and it upsets me i cant really use cannons on it effectively like it does in the show
