My Rommulan hasn't hit Puberty yet.

So My Romulan has not yet reached puberty as I cannot have him grow a beard....WHY It was availible in beta, I personally think my tribble rom is more badass.

    Have we ever actually seen a Romulan (or Vulcan for that matter) supporting a beard? Maybe it's not one of their... traits

    Spock was a Human-Vulcan Hybrid. The genetics of facial hair would have likely come by the DNA of his Human Mother.

    I'll ask again, show me a pure Vulcan or pure Romulan with facial hair. :P

    Vulcans, and presumably Romulans, are also capable of growing beards. Some Vulcan masters and other religious figures grow short goatees or full beards. (VOY: "Gravity"; Star Trek V: The Final Frontier)

    In the Mirror universe, both Soval and Spock wore similar short goatees while they were members of the Terran Empire Starfleet. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly"; TOS: "Mirror, Mirror")

    Notable male Vulcans with beards:

    Sybok
    Soval (in the mirror universe)
    Spock (in the mirror universe)
    Vulcan Healer of the 23rd century
    Vulcan Master of the 23rd century

    appears that at least the Vulcan side of the family evolutionary tree sprout facial hairs... so... Mind you, some of the Rom NPCs seem to carry a pretty heavy 1700 hour shadow.. ;-)

    Whilst I forgot about Sybok, I should have remembered Mirror Soval. Wasn't that long ago I watched the damn episodes. :P

    I only remember Sybok because for some reason I LOVE that character. I know right the movie everyone hates has one of my favorite characters in it.

    Some Romulan can have beards, but I think the prevailing view is they prefer shaved, hence the dark shadows ;)

    As to the title of this thread, I notice many male players that aren't sporting girl chars like to show as 50-year old men with beards. How many players actually are 50 years old? I am past puberty, though far below 50 years, and I don't care one way or the other about beards, but find it repulsive to show off as middle-aged when there's youth to still flaunt. The guys who really are 50 wish they were 20, if they could only turn back the clock. I look at teenagers sporting beards in game and can't help but shake my head thinking of this one guy I met once who told me when I asked him why he was sporting a beard, "so everyone know I'm their daddy." Not mine you ain't, son. :cool:

    I'm 30 and I've had a steady beard growth since 17.
    The only difference between then and now is that it's grown darker...it used to be a reddish brown.
    Now it's the same dark blond as the...receding hair on my head.

    I don't sport a beard because I want to look like some girl's father...I do it so I don't look like I'm still 20.;)

    Clearly your tribble romulan was from the MU.

    And the fact that there is in fact a beard list on MA is making me laugh hysterically right now.
