While we're having the minor queue problem (which I'm sure will be fixed shortly) lets give some feedback on the Legacy of Romulus expansion.
Author note: Try to keep it positive to avoid this turning into yet another complain topic.
I like the new interface although it took me a bit to get used to it on tribble.
Nimbus adventure zone is very nice.
New shuttle PVE and this time not inside is nice.
Overall i like it, but it would be even better when those last bugs are ironed out.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I'm really impressed with the graphic revamp. I have a low-to-medium end system and the difference is pretty stunning.
The new UI is taking a little getting used to. Mainly for me on the DOFF screens, where the colors of certain assignments have changed and it's throwing me off a little (hunting for those Resolve needed 50 minimum Dil ones). But I'm sure I'll have it worked out in a week.

Yeah, the graphics are stunning indeed.

A game that I love has gotten better. What's not to love?
1) UI changes are nice. In fact, the whole game looks better and my system is suffering no ill effects.
2) Atmospheric Shuttle mission: YES! YES! YES! Fun stuff making me rethink how to outfit my peregrine. (Would LOVE to see more of these in future updates!).
3) Choice of Marks: This is a great feature and allows players maxed out on Rom marks to get back into the Azure Nebula or Vault missions. I know I played those this morning for the first time in a while to get my Nukara rep going.
4) Character select screen with the boffs and ship overhead is way cool.
I haven't even played the Romulan story yet or gone to Nimbus III (which I really think sounds cool), so all in all I must say I'm really impressed and am so excited about the direction of this game that I might just buy the LTS while it's on sale.
I'm sure the queue issue will get resolved before long, so all in all a big thumbs up. I was excited before launch and have not been disappointed!
Thus far, I'm highly impressed (though I still wish we didn't have to align with the FED or KDF). Hopefully they'll 'develop' the story and have our Romulan characters be able to stand up against the Tal Shiar all on their own without the aid of either faction. That, or they need to allow us to join both factions. I don't like this one-sided idea. I guess that all depends on how they're going to develop the overall story though. Hmm...
But yeah. I've just reached level #10, I'm currently stuck in a rather large queue as I stupidly attempted to log into my FED for some quick dailies. :P I love the way our 'base' is within a small Fleet, and I loved the scenes at our initial home colony (shame that went up in flames) and when we first arrive on New Romulus (I swear the Devs watched James' Camerons Avatar for inspiration; the planet is just beautiful, even the NPC's think so). :P
There are loads of clothing and ship customization; more than I thought we would get. Think there is 5 materials per ship, 4x sets of windows (more than any KDF ship) and probably twice as much (if not more) clothing options; various ones of which are unlocked as you progress and choose your alliance.
Also, playing the first bunch of missions (I forget how many it is now) but it actually feels like they're trying to find that home. When we find it, they're all excited and such. It's great. The missions work real well together too, and it'll be interesting to see if various characters (bridge officers) find their lost friends / family members ~ I'm not that far into the campaign, so I don't know what's in store for them.
I am curious what would happen if I dismissed them all though. If that Reman Woman is looking for her Dad and I find her Dad when she's not an active Boff, do I not get the cutscenes etc?
The graphics updates look fantastic
The handful of Romulan missions I've played so far have been fun
All the new ships and toys to play with
The Reman females look like something out of a nightmare - of course I made one immediately
Dislikes
The new UI, esp. the KDF one
Wait queues, new gameplay bugs, overall performance - I'm assuming most if not all of these are temporary
LOL:
All of the nerd rage on the forum about the (unsurprising) launch problems, and ESPECIALLY the "I quit" threads. You're all taking this game and yourselves far too seriously.

Those are indeed funny and worthy of many face palms.
Personally i don't sweep the problems under the rug, but i prefer a more positive approach.
Then again there are always people who think the glass is half empty.

...and that is ignoring the horrible latency issues (2 minute lag to move stuff in the account bank? rly?)
changing the mail system so you can only have 100 attachements in your mail... BOOOO!
(where am i supposed to save all those purple BOffs now, they can't be moved in bank or inventory space!)
Thank you for that, "Minor" you my sir are the grand supreme master of understatement.
After several hours I have gone from #26,439 to #22,713 I had forgotten I had logged in til I saw this thread.
PS
"Which I am sure will be fixed shortly" see first paragraph of my post. Featured series better be extended by another month because its going to take that ******* long to be able to get in to play the damn game.

Foreigner is a British fleet and as you know the British are masters of understatement.
Look at the glass half full.

Kind of a pointless 1st impressions thread if you're telling people to keep it positive, not that I have anything bad to say about LOR
If you want everybody's impressions be prepared to get the good and the bad or don't ask the question.
Yeah, the graphics are stunning indeed.

My first impression is that this better be a good ride because this line to get on is several hours long.
It makes fed missions feel generic now.

My only problem is the skill points. Sorta holding me back.
