Soon we will celebrate the brave choice of Romulans (and Remens) to join our fight against the bunch of tyrants who call themselves as federation of planets. Ha! what a peta'Q name they came up with for themselves. They look like a fools without any honor.
I hearby welcome our brothers to glorious KDF which has survived their backstabbing tactics. The federation call those coward tactics as diplomacy. Don't forget to enjoy the blood of wine and heart of targ. Once you are full then Onion girl(s) will be waiting for you in your bed.
Qapla'!
Grinding for MkIV epic gear?
Ain't Nobody Got Time for That
Having Romulans joining the Empire is wrong in so many ways its almost silly. I'm not really complaining. The Empire needs every soul it can get. Will be very strange though, seeing the green-blooded long-ears and their warbirds outside Qo'nos. From where I'm standing we might as well have invited the ancient enemy of ours, the H'urq.
Still, finally, Romulans will be here. Its about time and I am glad of it.

I hate the fact Perfect World force-joined STO and PW accounts...

I recall reading that they once were allies long ago, hence the very similar ship designs and naming conventions. + The Cloaking tech.
But finding the precise / particular info on the history of cloaking technology / Romulan ships is rather hard.

The history is simple - Klingons never had cloaking. But the villains in Wrath of Khan were changed from Romulans to the more familiar Klingons late in the process, and suddenly Klingons had 'Birds of Prey' and cloaks.
Note that the 2009 JJ Abrams movie made things worse by calling D7s 'warbirds'.

I will be adding a Romulan Tactical Officer to my currently 5 KDF toons, I only really play one Fed toon these days and that is only for fed only stuff with fleet mates.
I just find KDF so much more satisfying. Battle Cruisers, both the Kamarang and the Vor'cha. Their temporal lock box ships look so much better than and make much more sense than any other lock box for my personal tastes. KDF Time ships to me look like a melding of KDF and Gorn technology, and fit my Gorn Science officer.
With that said The B'rel with the enhanced battle cloak never really appealed to me, sorry firing from cloak, just does not sit well with my Honor.
So my Romulan Tactical Officer will be flying a T'varo at end game, already purchased.
Besides the Dominion war showed the KDF and Romulans could have an uneasy alliance, and any Romulan that is KDF is one that is not a FED.
It may be a distasteful solution but better than allowing the Romulans to universally ally with the Federation.
I look forward to seeing you all in sector space.
Edit: It is not like they will get a space on the High Council, even a non voting spot like the Gorn. When that happens I will be up in arms.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

It seems like the Klingons have short memories, what of the thousands of innocent Klingon civilians massacred by the Romulans at Khitomer and Narendra III? It's a spit in the face of those who died.
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

"Innocent" is a strong word for a militaristic empire :P

Innocent fits perfectly as those warriors and families who where massacred where attacked without provocation by the Romulans.
You cant devalue a person just becuase you dislike thier goverment.

I'd call the Romulan attacks mass genocide, at least the Federation kept things civil with the Klingon Empire. At Narendra III a federation starship fought a hopeless battle to try and save innocent lives, an act that the Klingons saw as honorable.

good news for the kdf, I've decided the path of the warrior is better than the path of peace

Welcome to our warrior brothers and sisters from the green side.
I am bringing all my Romulans characters to the KDF, the community in-game is so much nicer. In fact I have started to participate more in Zone chat on the KDF and block it out on the Fed side due to all the abuse people get for asking a simple question. The Community is what makes the KDF so much better.

Feds are getting plasmonic leech today, and they already have access to most of our other stuff, its just a matter of time before they have it all.
