There are so many whiners lately. They whines non-stop for everything, demanding adding/nerfing this and that... so the gameplay would fit into their narrow view/perception. There is the reason why the fed/Klingon/rom are made the way they are: The history of Star Trek. The federation cant be the same as the Klingon/Romulan empire and vice versa. If federation ships have same features as Klingons or romulans... what is the point of having different factions? The whole point of having different factions in the 1st place is to let players experience different view and play style.
If you thing the romulans OP the other faction then by all mean... play as romulan. If you think escorts OP the other ships then flight an escort. The whole point of playing a game is find a way/play style to dominate the game... not whining and whining, so dev have to change the game concept/style to suit your narrow mind and needs. Devs are for fixing bugs/new contents/maintain server stability.
So for the love of STO... grow up and adapt. No one force you to play solely as Fed/kdf/rom or flight a cruiser/escort/sci.
And people who complain about whiners during a BETA testing period when devs WANT players to speak their minds and point out flaws are bullies and egocentric.
In the immortal words of Captain Sisko: "It may not be what you believe, but that doesn't make it wrong."
Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.
And people who complain about whiners during a BETA testing period when devs WANT players to speak their minds and point out flaws are bullies and egocentric.
Im not talking about the romulan in particular but general. I'm not saying romulan ships are oped but just stating ppl saying on the forum. Is English ur native language? cause it seems that you don't understand the meaning I've wriiten.
coulda sworn i saw this thread yesterday.. my answer is the same, a bunch of yes men does more harm them good, even more then people running riot through the forums making a complaints (in your opinion, whining away). a business runs on feedback and yes men wont help the cause at all, actual feedback gives everyone the same answer and the same ground to work off after the business adjusts what is being targeted.
as for the arguments and "whining", it works both ways. so there is no further point in this thread.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Probably the only part of your post that I can agree with. The rest is just complaining about the complainers.
This part of your post a lot of players should take to to heart and stop demanding cloaks for Federation ships or more tankier cruisers for KDF instead of battlecruisers for example.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!
...Why are there suddenly threads popping up with people whining about whining? STOP WHINING! :P
^This.
I can sympathize with people who have legitimate complaints like those who are requesting the game to be more balanced rather than one class does everything while the others can't and are thus sub-par. But people who whine about "whiners" simply annoy everyone and should be nerfed :P
The whole point of playing a game is find a way/play style to dominate the game...
. . . or, as normal, sane, non-gamer people refer to it, "fun" . . .
No one force you to play solely as Fed/kdf/rom or flight a cruiser/escort/sci.
Well, the game will, if the point is to "dominate" the game, and only one playstyle is dominant.
But hey, who needs balance or skill or options or good gameplay? We can have systems mastery instead, and have the game reward you for studying the minute of patch notes to discover the One True Build.

Pot let me introduce you to kettle, kettle this is pot you should get on like a house on fire. Bot the for original post and the one quoted.
PS: I know I am the typo king but it is never a good idea to criticise someone over their understanding of English when you are showing a lack of it yourself.
Understanding what you've read does not automatically imply that one will necessarily agree with it.
And you should check your own language skills with regard to "ur" and "cause."
No offense... but nowaday every1 on the net using "ur" for "your" and "cause" for "because." Well unless you're still living in "pre-warp" period where the only way to connect is dial-up lol.
I was pretty sure when the author asked if English was native, he probably meant to ask if the person understood the nuances of his post... not 'cause of the grammar/spelling. Every1 can read English, but it doesn't mean they understand the nuances/messages conveyed by the author.
Anyway, imo the author just implied that so many crappy feedbacks on the forum nowadays.

I hate to break it to you, but these two statements (both from the OP) are contradictory. If Romulans are indeed OP, then Yes, in order to do well and excel at the game, you are effectively being forced to roll a Romulan. That is the point of balance. That no one faction is overpowered over the other, allowing the player, not the game to decide what best suits his playstyle and desires.
Now that said, If you spend a great deal of time on the forums, you will find complaining often originates from people wanting what they want without considering the game mechanics.
I remember in the Winter Wonderland event. We had two threads running at the same time. One, claimed the Breen Warship was OP. That essentially if you wanted to do well in this game, you would have to fly the Breen Warship. Thus flooding Qonos and ESD with Breen Ships.
The other, claimed that the Breen Warship was useless garbage and not worth the time it took to earn it. It was an ineffective monstrosity that would be destroyed the minute someone looked at it funny.
More often then not, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Wait, have you been testing this stuff? You think the Romulan ships are OP?
I've not seen it in my experience. And here's a whole lot of math discussing some big mechanical issues with the Romulan ships.
The Romulans are new. So they are shiny.
If you like the color green (or brown) their ships are pretty.
But OP?
Not yet they aren't.
