pre patching

is anyone else having the problem when they exit out sto you start pre patching but it stops at a certain number it wont continue the other day it got to 15 percent and staled out now it wont go past 0 percent downloaded i hope im not the only one

    Taken from another post about the subject:
    In options on the launcher I check ticked "disable on demand patching" and also check ticked "force verify". I re-ran the patch and it did all 100%. So this appears to be the trick to the problem of stopping at 45 to 46% problem. Many thanks to the person who first posted this solution. I never would of worked it out on my own. Once it is done btw, I checked unticked or put how it was orginally the "disable on demand patching" and "force verify" check boxes. Everytime u get out of the game it still tries to do the patch. In fact I believe it just hangs eventually somewhere on 0%. Not to worry as the files are all downloaded as the game size is much, much bigger now. Just get out of it. When expansion pack is released on the 21st, all the prepatched files will be there.

    Hopefully that'll help you too.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    I tried what you suggested but it wouldn't start the patching process until I changed the settings back. Have you come across any other help?

    Well the patch is finally downloading,pitifully slow, been downloading for almost 4 hours and at 29% guess it will take around 12 hours in total:mad: its like being on 56k dial up ffs

    Have given up on this pre-patch already. Download speed is absurdly slow (less than .1MB/s) with all combinations of launcher settings. Same with whatever tribble patch it is trying to load.

    I had real pains last night just trying to get the thing working, and I don't want to spent all day today waiting for 5 gigs to download. Took 10 minutes to get to 0.7% progress! I may just re-install the entire game after launch day instead of messing around with patches.

    I've learned to be patient... Through my use of carefully selected beers and highly recoomended youtube video's, I find that the download starts and stops for long periods of time...then starts again... the effects of the beer and youtube vids, along with the occasional snack tends to correllate with the length of time...

    Damn launcher crashed at around 40% in to download ffs,just wasted 4 hours ,think i will wait until some one with any intelligence can sort the damn patch problems out or give us a direct download link or torrent.:mad:

    What, exactly, is patching? I already d'loaded Legacy of Romulus when I played it on Tribble, and now, every time I shut the game down it's trying to patch 9,883mb.
