Can't customize ship

I can?t customize my Odyssey ship. I make the changes I want (material, pattern, colors, I click save and then purchase. It takes my 1,200 EC, but when I go back in the changes are gone. I also can?t load there is nothing to pick from. If I go to sector space the changes are not there. Going back to ship customization everything is set to default (Andromeda) except for saucer ship pattern which is set to none.

    Try one of the following two things:

    1) rename your ship (temporarily) at ESD shipyard. Make changes and once saved and confirmed as saved rename ship back to your original name if you like.

    2) discharge an existing ship in your fleet that you can reclaim later on. This will update the list and hence recognize your Oddy. You will be able to make changes then.

    Had same issues and another forum captain was kind enough to give me the following hints and they worked like a charm. Although be aware that if you revert back to your original name you will have to change it again in future in order to make any new additions/changes to the ship. Dunno why, strange bug to say the least.

    I'm having the same problem. When I want to load previous custom ship saves it loads my character's uniforms instead.

    Confirmed.

    I renamed my ship and then changed the colors/materials and it worked. That is a pretty serious bug. I mean I can't use the ship name I want to?

    That's a big bummer. Hopefully with the release of Legacy of Roulus that will be fixed.

    I had a similar issue where my Odyssey took on a color scheme I didn't select, but when I tried to make changes, nothing would change in the selector. But then I discovered that my Reman Prototype Covarient Shield was responsible for that specific look and green enginge glow, and as soon as I removed it from my shield slot, my desired ship design started to show. :rolleyes:

    Simplest way is to click randomise then this always you to alter manually. No need to discharge ship.
