LOR Fleet projects changing?

jam062307jam062307 Member Posts: 197 Arc User
In a few interviews Dstahl has said that they would be lowering contribution requirements on fleet projects to help out smaller fleets with LOR, however I have not seen anything about this in any tribble patch notes. Do we have any confirmation that this will be happening on Tuesday?

Borticus also discussed changing the doff requirements as a work around for the disparity in how fleet doffs are awarded. Many have stated that this would be a very welcome change. Will this be going live on Tuesday as well?

Dstahl said they're going to look into lower the requirements in the future, but that's not coming with LoR. He also said that, while some numbers might decrease they're still expecting to base the new numbers at around the 25 member value.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

They have always said it was going to change in LoR.
But it isn't in the patch notes and the earlier fleet bugs (kdf embassy uniform, fleet corsair modification, inability to give out fleet doffs in requires #) are still on tribble.
So it looks like fleet stuff won't be getting a fix.
Should I start posting again after all this time?

To me, them merging the Fleet Mark Event and the Reputation Mark Event into a 3-hour block with LoR, is their response to "helping" small fleets.

Personally, I rather they adjusted the Dilithium costs to the Embassy and Upgrade Projects. I mean seriously 1 Million Dilithium for Embassy Tier 2? Compared to Tier 4 Starbase upgrades projects (not the Starbase Upgrade itself).

Yep. Looks like they won't make it. Also looks like they're hoping everyone will forget about it.

This has not been forgotten. I made the request to our lead designer gecko to reduce the inputs of Fleet Holdings and he said that it is in the works as part of the next Fleet Holding which is coming out in June. The next holding is related to the procurement of Dilithium and has a built-in mechanic that reduces the cost of Fleet Holding projects as well as offers enhanced ways to earn Dilithium in general. More details will be shared when the design blog hits in early June (only a few weeks away).

Will the Doff inputs be switched from 90 sci/90 med to 180 sci and med? That's the big problem I (and the OP) are having with our Starbases right now. Change that, and we're golden.

Thanks for the update. I must have missed the communication about this being part of the next Fleet Holding rather than part of LoR, apologies.

anyone else failing to see why the doff changes haven't happened already? Another month of this and we will see common medical and security doffs be more expensive than all of the very rare doffs not just the least useful ones

Could we be seeing that fix to the Medical DOFF situation? Not really fun burning through 100,000 Fleet Credits for 5 Medical DOFFs.

Seriously, Doffs is the biggest problem currently. while the lowering of dilithium requirments is welcomes, I'd rather see the doff contributions fixed. Either adjust the fleet doff out-put ratios to be 50/50 or change the requirments to 180 sci/med. either change would be welcomed to what we currently have.

put in more projects needing fm, or give more fc for putting in doffs..

while those things would be nice, they don't' solve the doff problem. The problem is no reliable way to get the massive amount of med/sec doffs we need for projects without spending ridiculous amounts of EC off the exchange, or buying ridiculous amounts of fleet doffs while getting a return on the ones we need at about 1/5. either the fleet doff output needs to be fixed, or the input requirements need to be changed. Either will suffice, it all depends on which is easier. My money's on the input requirements.

The same issue with Doffs has been repeated endlessly for months, both tactical and science doffs are thrown out in terrible ratios. It kills progression, we aren't even moving science to T5 now.

Borticus did comment, he was looking into fixing it, but no direction or commitment was made about it. It seems relatively easy to change the ratios of Doffs required to suit what is given out.

I agree, the ratio's MUST be changed. I opened 160 doff boxes and got 20 doffs to donate to my fleet, the rest were mostly sci and worthless on the exchange. It seems that the drop is increasing as you go along from 2 in 5 to 4 in 5 being sci.
