Are there any destructible objects in the Foundry?

bluegeekbluegeek Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Hopefully a quick question with a positive answer... Are there any destructible objects in the Foundry?

Basically looking for stationary objects (space and/or ground) that can be targeted and destroyed in order to complete a mission objective.

Is there anything like that in the Foundry?

If not, there should be.

The only things that come to mind are the objects that are pre damaged that you can switch with their working version. Like cardassian generators or burnt federation buildings for example
A TIME TO SEARCH: ENTER MY FOUNDRY MISSION at the RISA SYSTEM
Parallels: my second mission for Fed aligned Romulans.

I've had success in the past with hiding enemy ships inside of objects. In particular, I was able to make the pillars of DS9 fire phasers and photons.

    That's about it for me.

How do you keep them from moving around?

Walling them off wouldn't be a good solution, so I have to assume there's some other trick to it?

Besides, I'm thinking along the lines of stuff we can target and shoot at in-game that can be destroyed and doesn't shoot back. Like blast doors and destructible consoles, etc.

I guess we don't have that yet :(

    Try this:

Take an enemy that bites, costume them as spiders, and put them inside a building block column. Maybe you can target them and shoot but they won't shoot back.

I've been able to get npcs stuck in the hollow portions of those things.

Not a bad idea for ground. If someone gets a chance to play with that, please post your success/failure here.

It might be awhile before I get to it.

    I took a different approach:

I used an Interact with the "Point Pistol" animation to trigger an explosion...

In the case of my mission: The player is destroying a device in the middle of an action sequence. They already have their weapon drawn, so it adds to the illusion.

Of course, it's my first mission, so I don't really know if it looks good to anyone but me...

Just thought I'd throw out a different idea...

    My Missions

    Contact Squared Part 1
    Contact Squared Part 2
    Contact Squared: Tribunal (coming soon)
Contact Squared: Shadows (coming... not as soon...)
