The two assault weapons you can buy on the Flotilla are seriously bugged.
When equipped during the Iconian Gate mission, the caused my Toon to always face the beam in point often running backwards throughout the whole mission.
The weapons don't appear on the Toon and there are no weapon's effects.
Even when backwards I could "fire" on a target and the shot marker in the power tray would cycle, but no effects.
Targets took damage, but my BOs were firing as well so...
Ohhhh is that what it is? I got stuck running backwards earlier and couldn't for the life of me figure out why. I was using those Flotilla weapons with no graphics for fun. I suppose that's what I get for using busted weaponry lol.
I had this happen to me too. in Memory lane I switched to a Piercing Beam plasma rifle that I just bought from the flotilla.
I get to Virinat, and was going to use it during the fight with the first group of Khelids by D'Vex's old lab.
My character kept point in the direction of the fight, I mean it was really strange to have them pointing in one direction, and when you're in a fire fight, the pulse go off in a completely different direction.
Most if not all of the new plasma rifles/assault for Romulans (Flotilla) have this graphical bug. The model does not appear and while you can still attack there are no animations or effects. For the time being I have just been using pistols and the original plasma weapons

Thank you for the report, we're looking into this issue.
I have encountered this issue too. I think its the new Romulan rifles from the Romulan Flotilla that has this problem. I have equipped my Bridge Officers with other plasma weapons that I picked up along the way and there is no issue.
When equipped with the new Romulan weapons, the Bridge Officers will just stand there and do their special abilities like Tachyon Harmonics or whatever but there is no sign of the new weapons in their hands nor is there any firing FX. However, I did observe that the enemies' health are dropping even when I was not firing.
Also, because the weapons are not in their hands, asking your Bridge Officers to attack a target will not work. Your Bridge Officers will still stand behind you and do nothing.
When using a rifle sometimes i noticed shooting the enemy with a beam or special attack(ground), would actually move the enemy aside instead of doing damage to them.
Excuse me, excuse me, would you mind stopping that darn noise?

One thing with assault weapons comes to mind is a blast assault hasn't really been that useful since like the days before the borg didn't have the adapt mechanic. It would be great if you had like skills that actually held large groups of enemies in a certain area that were not a proc based.
TBH I think this weapon should be kinda like what worf had in insurrection and first contact the weapon that he was shooting at the floating borg beacon and when he was shooting the drones that were tagging the people running away lol. Something kinda like cannons for ground but somewhere in the middle of a full auto and what the blast assault is because right now its got that huge lag in time to activate for a shot that feels like you are hitting a target with a spitball.
I have noticed this bug aswell. I had a blast charge assault flotilla weapon and a piercing beam pistol. The pistol works as advertized, but not the blast chrage assault. The weapon is in effect cloaked and so are the vfx when shooting it.
I was wondering what caused my char and bo's to turn towrds an unseen enemy when i stopped moving.
I have to wonder what causes this, as those assault weapons worked just fine before the open beta patch, but are bugged totally afterwards.
I had problems with the rifles from the flotilla. I equipped them and tried to use them but, no rifle appeared in the character's hands in combat, and the primary and secondary fire keys did nothing. I switched to my other weapon, which was one of the pistols to be able to fight.

I'm using Piercing and Wide Beam rifles and they... pretty much rock. I mean, I was impressed by the Plasma Pistol Repeater due to its great rate of fire and the visceral feeling of being able to mow down one's target... but the Piercing Rifles blow are murder. They do about the same as the repeating pistol secondary fire all that time, and their secondary pretty much makes things melt.
I'm playing a science character. I open up fights with several powers from the physicist kit and then pretty much leave it to my piercing rifles to mow them down. When you have a few exposed targets, plus me and my four bridge officers pouring down secondary fire from that rifle which is a cylindrical AoE... pretty much everything in the path dies.
If there's a caveat... it's the looks. The flotilla weapon have a semi-chromy/glowy look that makes them look more 'cobbled together' than the more visually impressive Romulan rifles you can get from the mission "Frozen" (and probably New Romulus reputation - I've just never tried to get those before).
Now, what I'm wondering is if those same weapon might show up in a more 'badass/high-level' version in the New Romulus reputation.

now we know the cause of that lock on one spot of the map bug

No weapon effects and makes everything go screwy as above...

I figured I'd earn whatever we get for Tribble testing and was happy to find such a "good" bug.
I also appreciate the Beta Invite.
I'll keep looking for more bugs.

Also, I detest the queues, but that's just me
