I know the feeling i am jumping from 800 in the queue to 7048...personally it is TRIBBLE, lts/subs should be able to get in first
Agreed. I think the starting criteria for Closed Beta Testing should have been life time subscribers, followed by current subscribers at the time of the selection, then open it up to those f2p who regularly participate in Tribble test weekends.
I am a lifetime subscriber to STO. I do test things out on Tribble but I didn't have the opportunity to participate in the last Tribble weekend test and I guess because of that I was not in the Closed Beta test. Fortunately, I did get to test some yesterday before the masses came in due to the completely Open Beta this weekend. I did file some bug reports.
In any case, I think the first people who should have had the opportunity to be apart of the testing should have been those who have contributed to the company. Do not get me wrong, I realize that life-time subscriptions shouldn't entitle people to everything but when it comes to things like the future of the game, LET the people who have invested in the game have a beginning say on how things are playing out.
What's the problem? It's not that hard to wait for a minute or two to get in.
And about the subscribers: I guess It was stated this testing weekend is open to everyone, you will get your benefits from the subs later on.
This open beta is a stress test. For things like their queues and the server.
This is all working as intended. And Lifers and Subs DO get to go to the front of the queue. With all the other Lifers and Subs trying to get in on the free Tribble action.
This is part of the plan. You all are helping Cryptic. By being logjammed in line.
Tribble is not as big as holodeck so more people will be waiting unlike Holodeck which can handle more. also your LTS priority does not apply to tribble, so you're waiting like the rest.
I hope that when this goes live that the queue are moving faster than what's on tribble right now 20min wait times or more and some folks are being kick from the que multiple times

I see this as a HUGE issue if stays like this
Well the best way to get this worked out is to stress test it. And give themselves some lead time to fix it. Like say, 10 days?
The thing I hate most about waiting in a queue is that it basically kills any chance of returning to a multiplayer mission (STFs, fleet actions, etc.) before it ends if you get disconnected.

It's the test server. Of course it's smaller and more buggy than the Holodeck. The queue times will be less once it goes live. However I foresee quite a bit of bugs lag and just plain mass flocking back into the game that will probably cause quite a few problems for the first few days when it does go live.
But ohhh the Romulans. So good. So good!
The game itself seems much more refined and polished. The UI is amazing as are the missions and general feel of the game now.

Yeah, starting at 1225 in the queue, getting to 1204, and then getting shoved to 8407 is only going to take a couple of minutes to get in...

The 8000 values are basically non-response values, they're not real. It'll switch back to your real value (which can only go down, obviously) the next time it refreshes.
I guess my lifetime membership means NOTHING I have been playing since Beta Had a lifetime membership this whole time & I'm still sitting in a Queue to get logged on. The problem is I paid for a lifetime membership with the perk of having Priority logon access & I have to wait like everyone else that are F2P THAT"S MY PROBLEM!!!!! BTW THAT IS NO WAY TO SPEAK TO PAYING LOYAL CUSTOMERS @stee1max You need to find yourself another job BUDDY!!!

 My problem is I paid for a Lifetime membership to which a main perk is to have Priority logon access which I don't seem to have! BTW That's no way to talk to paying customers!! I have been sitting queued up for over 20 minutes now & still nothing so don't tell me about waiting a minute or two to get in. YOU NEED TO BE FIRED because your customer relations skills SUCK!

Lifetime perks, along with anything you owned in the live server, are currently disabled on tribble.

You LTS folks go to the head of the line on the LIVE game servers. That's the terms of the subscription. The test server has NOTHING to do with the subscrption terms. Everything about the test server is a privilege. Cryptic can add to or withdrawn it at will.
I think that subscribers, and especially LTS'er, grandiose sense of entitlement amazes even me at times. (I'm a very jaded individual, FWIW.) I for one applaud Cryptic for giving every one equal opportunity to the LoR OPen Beta.

getting disconnected from account/login servers now. Can't even get into a queue.
This bites
Looks like Tribble Crashed the Login/Account servers for STO Live and NW....Way to go C/PWE having all your games on one Login/Account Server. Thought you would have learned from the debacle when NW Launched

Yeah I noticed that too. I waited in line for 35 minutes (and yes I'm a Lifer) and got a server not responding after not even 10 seconds. I tried connecting again only to get a server not responding message. I've been testing for a while so I thought I would go back on Holodeck. Well guess what? The launcher is not responding. So I can't even play on Holodeck?! Bloody Hell! Solve this problem once and for all. It's been going on since Day 1 but now it's ridiculous. Not a single day goes by without the servers going down. We should get an Accolade for all those disconnects. When you only have 1 or 2 hours of free time and the servers are down for 3 hours... well you do the math
There are too many LTS holders that give the rest of us LTS holders a terrible name. Even if 1 bad LTS holder makes a stupid comment like the individual a couple posts above me did, it ruins the reputation of every LTS holder.
LTS holders names were ruined day 1 of LTS availability; I remember a guy that complained that he didn't get everything from the c-store (at the time in 2010) for free, and was pissed that he had to pay for even more stuff, that he went so far as to get a refund.
It shocks me at how really messed up in the head people can be.
I was watching the O'Reily Factor, and he had a segment on from Jimmy Kimmel or Fallon's show, I can't quite remember, where he was interviewing normal people on the street in Hollywood about President Obama appointing Judge Judy (yes, from the TV show, it was just a stunt by the show to get normal people's reactions) to the Supreme Court. Every single person that responded, did so in such a way to make me facepalm at every single response. I just.. I can't understand what goes through the minds of people, it's just ridiculous.
Anyway, I'm an LTS holder, and I agree that Tribble should be the way it is. Queue's will happen, they always do when these seasons come out. Tribble is just testing how these types of situations will impact it, and can give them ideas on how to trouble shoot it for live. They also want to see just how many people are interested in the expansion, and how many people they'd be dealing with. Who knows, maybe they'll get a good idea and be able to expand server capacity on Holodeck, which is probably something they've already been working on.

Got to play a few hours earlier today. This stuff looks great. I am really looking forward to release. Great job, Cryptic!
*waving arms*
Yeah it sucks. All because they won't just buy some more servers.
675 of 701. Doesn't my LTS mean anything here?
EDIT: Somehow I just went from 675th to 4705 / 4705. What in the name of jesus...

You CAN get in first. It's the other LTs and Subs that in front of you in line. Blame them.

Try 20 minutes IF you don't get disconnected while waiting.
