Having a Romulan toon is fine if your new to STO.
Its not so though if you are already at level 50 in a fed or kdf fleet.
Why I hear you ask??? simple.
After doing the romulan missions, your stuck with having to do allied missions too of either fed or kdf. Missions that you have done before.
I will stick to just my fed and kdf toons only,at least it will be new missions, and no repeating missions already done.

That's the mistake of having a romulan fleet, its not all romulan missions that you do.
Cryptic should have made it that all that you do is fully romulan and nothing to do with fed or kdf.all ships and all missions.

ummm ..if you're already maxed wouldn't all the missions be do-overs?

    ..except the new Romulan ones?

You dont actually do any allied mission as such.

you have mostly unique content up to around 30, then you start doing the FE which are cross faction anyway. Then you do some Borg/undine missions which are again being made cross faction as they affect the whole quadrant.

it took them 2 years to pretty much make the fed missions. yes 100% unique and brand new stuff would be great but its not realistic to expect to get that every time they make a new faction and hopefully there will be more. the amount of new content we got here is way way above anything we have ever seen since launch but they still have to utilise the old stuff.

Are you going to make a complaint thread about this every other day now? LoR gives you over 30 levels of completely new unique missions and a bunch of new Klingon ones. If you don't like them don't play them, but please don't make me take out the cheese.

Access to exclusive Romulan ships is the main reason to level Rommie/Reman.

You're right...don't make one. Just one isn't even close to enough. I'm making 9, oh...and a Reman. No, I'm not joking. It's gonna be fun!

Have you created a thread on the forums that isn't you complaining about something?

Furthermore, have you even bothered to patch up tribble and play some of the Romulan content? If yo had, you'd know that you get forty levels - that's right, 40 - of unique Romulan content. Only the last ten levels see you doing the missions of your ally, and these are mainly the FE's that both Fed and KDF have access to anyway. This is good. Those missions give out nifty rewards.

If you don't want to play as a Romulan - fine. No-one's asking you to. But this expansion is all about New Romulus and the Romulan Republic. So yeah, there isn't going to be much new content for max-level Fed and KDF characters - because the expansion would then have to be called "Legacy Of Romulus, Earth and Qo'nos".

LoR is about playable Romulans. Deal with it.

    You're making 9?

You realize I'm going to make fun of you if I ever see you make a complaint post about the "reputation GRIND"?

Just putting that out there now.

Now that they got the Alien Generator up to snuff (Still need Bony Claws Hand Option!) it IS pretty fun stuff.

    The Singularity powers are neat.

I'll be making at least one Romulan Alt.

We all need more Alts for Dil so......

it took them 2 years to pretty much make the fed missions.

actually i've heard that it only took them one year to churn out all the fed launch content, not sure what they did in year one, i guess it was mostly prep work.

    yes I agreed with OP

it is about playable romulan species on Fed/Kdf side ,it is not playable romulan faction

I am not going to play as romulan on live server, expansion is great but no worth to make one more toon on fed/kdf side, game is already hard core grind & no alt friendly as was before season 5.

LoR is great but it is not for what I waiting 3 years.
LoR should to be about rebuilding Romulan Star Empire, liberating Donatra from borg collective ,confronting Sela & madness of Tal Shiar, claiming Vulcan as new romulan homeworld...

I've already got 6 level 50 toons, but I'll be rolling a Romulan/Reman. I'm looking forward to replaying some of the early missions. Haven't seen them in a good while. Because of the FEs, getting the toon to level 50 won't be nearly the grind the first several toons were.

You haven't seen the first couple of Romulan missions in a while ? They're pretty new and you don't get to play missions from your ally. Just sayin'. ;)

Even if I have always been a 1-toon person, I must say, I will definitly build a rom/rem-toon too. There is just so much new stuff that NOT playing one, would be like denying cheese in the macaronies. Burgers without cheese. Con Carne without chili, kool-aid without bubbles. etc. etc.

    stop complaining.

you can lvl pretty nice by just DOFFing or foundry, if you dislike replaying the missions and getting the unique rewards..
