Walk/Run toggle

I know the Universe is a fast place but there should be a Walk/Run toggle (and related animation) while in base, shop, and maybe missions on ground.

Some of us would like to Role Play out game at times and being FORCED to RUN everywhere just ruins it. Also Crypto would earn a but more from player that Role Play, makes people play longer.

Also weapons should be forced holster in a friendly station/base unless attacking someone (and suffer the results from security), the UFP would go nuts with such a protocol breach.

    You fast walk by default. Pressing Shift makes you run. If you want to walk slowly, bind a key to the walk keybind in the options. it's not bound by default but it exists.

    Walking does exist :)

    Walking exists.... If you keep your finger ion that button *nods* The appropriate word in teh OP is "toggle" Guess this post being teh first in teh list when I googled "SRO walk run toggle" Means there isn't one.

    *reads more posts and comes back to edit*

    Hmm.. there is but it's hidden... "/bind {anykey} ++walk" That'll make {anykey} toggle walk!

    It's not hidden there is a keybind option for walk in options it's just not mapped to a key by default.

    I was using teh keybind version in menu... But with that I had to keep my finger on teh button to walk, which takes you right back to teh OP, and myself, wanting to toggle walk on or off, which teh "++walk" does.

    I just use /+walk (to toggle walk on) and /-walk (to toggle walk off). What I want to know, is if there is a way to keep walk on between maps (so I won't have to continually type in the "cheat code" everytime I change maps! I play A LOT of foundry missions and it would be very nice to have walk on between maps!)

    Just being able to map, say, Scroll Lock to choose walk/jog would work... if the light is on, yer walking, if it is off, yer jogging...

    and yeah, I'm tired of having to reset a LOT of preferences and mappings, EVERY SINGLE TIME I change a zone...

    Like, WTF is up with that?

    The coders can accomplish all that they've been able to accomplish with this universe, but they can't handle a simple persistent, saveable, options file?

    wouldn't it also be easier if they just had a choice in the settings that says something like: "Walking on" followed by two choices: "yes" and "no"? I would think that that would make life a WHOLE lot easier! (kind of like how we can choose whether to have "directional shields" on or off!)

    Just punch the 'E' key a few times, or punch the 'R' key once! That will get your ship going! :P
