Enterprise-F encounters when patroling Tau Dewa?

sampa4sampa4 Member Posts: 2 Arc User
Ok, so recently I was doing a patrol on one of my Federation Vice Admirals in Tau Dewa sector block. When I entered into one of the systems to engage the Hirogen who were attacking some Romulan ships, The Enterprise showed up to assist me! I didn't even send out a distress call (I am guessing that it was responding to the Romulan's "distress call" just as we had). The next day, I did another Tau Dewa patrol, and when I entered into another system, this time to battle some rebelling Gorn, again the Enterprise showed up to assist! I was wondering, who else has encountered the Enterprise when doing their Tau Dewa patrols? I am not complaining in the least about it! I think it's actually a pretty cool game mechanic!:) So, has anyone else had encounters like the two I described?

Really? Then I guess I had some pretty dumb luck! Encountered it twice over two consecutive days AND in two different Tau Dewen star systems!:D

Yes, there's been a random chance of the Enterprise showing up Fed side, and the Bortasqu' showing up KDF side in Tau Dewa Patrols since the launch of season 7. Though, Captain Shon was bit lazy at first, preferring to just sit and watch until they sorted the AI.

There are times that you can get the help of either ship in every patrol, or times where you don't see one in weeks.

You also get a time ship helping you in one of the systems.

Oh wow! I guess that this is what comes of rarely focusing on my Romulan Reputation System! lol! I only JUST started working on my Omega and Romulan Reputation stuff this week (finally getting to Tier 1 on the Romulan side)!

    I thought that was removed?

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

I wouldn't know the answer to that one! I have yet to encounter it. (unless, of course, he was refering to the new episode: Temporal Ambassador)

Encountered the Enterprise-F several times already. Sometimes one of the sound clips that plays when it enters bugs out and starts playing over and over and over and over. Imagine hearing Shon saying "These guys picked the wrong system" on a never ending loop.

Since I'm playing KDF mostly at the moment, it's the Bortasqu' for me and yeah, I've been helped by the flagship. It was a Sector Patrol mission - Don't remember the exact system, lower right hand corner, you fight a bunch of Tholian ships - and it showed up to help out.

I like it, the flagship of the fleets (Enterprise-F and Bortasqu') showing up to help players really does help give the feel like they're part of the STO galaxy and you might encounter them at times instead of just - oh, the Enterprise-F shows up in 'Boldly They Rode' and that's it - you never know when you might be fighting some enemy in Tau Dewa and they'll show up to fight alongside you with a witty remark and plenty of firepower...

Plus, it fits the Enterprise tradition, especially, of being where the action is...
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...

I've had a Wells time ship help out on that one mission with tholians and relics to pick up. I suspect that it's exclusive to tholian patrols (because no one else in the Tau Dwa sector has a stake in temporal shenanigans.)
