XI or XII consoles?

I was looking at my ship and realized the only component(s) that I have not min/maxed were the tactical consoles.
As it stands right now I have 4 VR XI (28.1%) Phaser Relays in place, and was wondering if going to the VR XII (30%) consoles is worth the effort and expense.
I have plenty of EC and can afford the approx 200 mill it will cost to purchase them from the exchange, but wondered if the cash would be better spent outfitting another rig.
Thoughts?

PvE: Not necessary.
PvP: Not necessary, unless you want to squeeze out as much damage as possible. And you have the EC you don't mind spending. In which case, yes, it's worth it in the long run.
Now if you are planning to upgrade from a Mk XI Blue to a Mk XII Blue that's a big jump in both Stats cause and effect and more so in price lol If your shopping on the Exchange
I do not even consider the Mk ??? Purples, due to the outrages pricing lol
I am currently using all Mk XII Purple Borg, M.A.C.O. and OMEGA 3pc sets from S6
and still slowly but surly grinding away at the S7 Rep on the Romulus/Omega Rep system now at t4 and about 50% into t5 just for the sake of completing the unlocks for fun lol
As I am so fortunate to be in the 1st Fleet to achieve a fully developed Tier 5 Star base and Embassy, having access to all the tier 5 Advanced Fleet gear over rides any need for Mk XII purple items from the exchange.
My best recommendation and or suggestion would be join a Fleet with tier 5 access to the advanced fleet items and by-pass the Mk XII purple exchange item ****, plunder and pillage scene all together!
I say if you've got the resources, might as well finish off this ship and get those consoles. It's a tiny upgrade, but it's still an upgrade.

Is the upgrade worth the price? Usually the answer is no (you are splitting hairs with miniscule damage gain at a huge cost), but if you have nothing better to spend EC on, then you might as well get the best of the best.
Your comparison to sets I don't get either. How has that any relevance to his question about tactical consoles?
Your suggestions holds no merit either, he's not asking advice on other gear, if he's got this much money, then chance is that he already has tier 5 items.
Anyway to get back to the question.
Is it worth it? The simple answer would be no, this game is made so easy that you can easily do STF's etc with a proper setup in MK X stuff.
But to me it's fun to still get the best I can. Now I personally don't have MK XII tac consoles, not so much that I can't afford them, but because there are other things I want as well, I rather buy lock box ships then these expensive consoles. However if you have all that and you are still no where close to seeing the end of your wealth, then go ahead and get it, might as well build a ship that doesn't only kick TRIBBLE, but of which you can actually say that it's the best possible. Because let's face it, STO is a lot about bragging rights.
Five of those would net you about 45 more DPS per DHC. About half of a MK XII purple console (I get about 90 DPS per MK XII console). So, that's about half a console.
Is it a lot? Nope. But the original poster said they have 200 mil EC to spend and wouldn't mind spending it on upgrading the tactical consoles.
I spent a little over 100mil to upgrade my tactical consoles to MK XII, as I already had what I needed.
Economics 101 :P
