I was wondering what the best fleet ship is. I would prefer a 200k fleet credit one, but it doesn't matter. I would like the best science, escort, and cruiser. Thanks in advance.
Yeah, it really depends on your playstyle and what you want. For instance, off the top of my head, here's what the science ships look like (I'm working form memory here, so take this with a grain of salt):
Intrepid: Lt tac, Lt Eng, Com, Lt, and Ens Sci. 2 tac slots, 3 eng slots, 4 sci slots. Decent crew and manuverability.
Olympus: Lt (or ens?) tac, Lt Com Eng, Com and Lt (or Ens) Sci. 2 tac slots, 4 eng slots, 4 sci slots. low crew/hull, good manuverability, ugly.
Nebula: Lt tac, Lt-Com Eng, Com Sci, Universal Lt. 2 tac slots, 4 eng slots, 4 sci slots. Good crew and hp, low maneuverability.
Nova: Lt-Com tac, lt Eng, Com and Ens Sci. 3 tac slots, 3 eng slots, 3 or 4 Sci slots. Low crew and Hp, but best manuverability.
Recon: Lt and Ens tac, Lt Eng, Com and Lt-Com Sci. 4 tac slots, 2 eng slots, 4 sci slots. decent crew and hp, middle-of-the-road manuverability.
So basically, The intrepid is the most science oriented class but isn't as survivable or damaging. Olympus and Nebula have more emphasis on engineering but fall short in other ways. Nova and Recon have a more tactical bent.
I kinda want to say the Nebula is the best bang-for-your buck, because the Universal Lt station means that if you're willing and able to swap officers, you can pretty much change your role in battle with the flick of a switch. And with 4 Eng consoles, it's no big deal to put an RCS whatchamacallit to get some maneuverability. The Recon is also pretty nice, you get commander AND Lt-commander science abilities, two tactical officers and 4 tac consoles to really beef up your damage. However its survivability is an issue.
And that's just the science ships. The other classes of ships are similarly balanced.

The Best escort is and still is the Patrol Escort, with Fleet or not. It can compete and win against any ship ANY. It's set up is duplicated in EVERY supposedly top escort, The kumari's the JHAS, the Chimera, the list is limitless of all the ships that try to be it.

For PVE (I can't speak at all for PVP)
For FSM
Best Escort: Fleet Patrol (good balance between DPS and not exploding)
Best Cruiser: Fleet Excelsior (great ship plus all transwarp options)
Best Sci Ship: Fleet Advanced Escort (LC sci boff slot gets you the minimum of what you need without massively sacrificing DPS. Fleet Nebula doesn't seem like a bad choice if you actually want a sci-ship, but I haven't felt the need to pick one up with the FAE.)
For 200k FC
Best Escort: Aquarius Destroyer (it's just funny)
Best Cruiser: Oddy (Duh)
Best Sci Ship: Don't bother with these, just pick up one of the mirror ships off the exchange.
Bipedal mammal and senior Foundry author.
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence

The best would certainly not be one of those 200k FC ships........ Pay up ! Devs need to eat too, you know ?
Specifically, the 200k FC ships are mostly just relatively weak retrofits (generally reduced hull compared to other T5 ships, possibly with a point or two of extra turn rate to try to make up for it) that have an additional Fleet Retrofit version. The Fleet version is what will get you the 10th console and increased health.
While we're discussing fleet ships, can someone shed some light on the fleet Intrepid?
I'm having an itch to go for it lately and I was wondering do you consider her performance and usefullnes for a sci. captain?

IMO, unless you want the Intrepid due to already having the regular Retrofit and thereby costing you far less, I'd stay away from it. The Fleet Intrepid forsakes far, far too much of both Tactical AND Engineering for heavy Science BOFF stations. Not to mention that it doesn't turn as well as some of the other Fed SCI vessels out there.
Starfleet has access to SCI vessels that give you Eng or Tac options while still giving plenty of room for a great SCI BOFF selection.
The Fleet Nova does this while giving great TAC options and a magnificent turn rate equal to some Escorts.
The Fleet Nebula gives you Cruiser-like sturdiness while its Lt Universal station lets you have significant options for TAC, ENG, or even more SCI BOFF abilities. IMO, the Fleet Nebula gives its users a far better range in options to build it up. Also, if you already have the high-end C-Store version, it only costs 20k FC and 1 FSM.
The FSRV almost gives you the same SCI BOFF strength as the Fleet Intrepid, but it gives you some TAC options instead.
The Fleet DSSV is almost the same philosophy as the FSRV but does it with ENG slots, not to mention a very heavy SCI Console selection.
The Fleet RSVR, despite its bubble-headed look, can be built tough while still having strong SCI capabilities.
I have been playing the Fleet Advanced Escort with a romulan plasma build and it's very good. I'd say it's as deadly or even a bit more deadly than my JHAS polaron build as far as pure DPS, thanks to the (3) sci consoles running plasma damage boosting consoles.
The LT Comm Sci really makes it versatile for both PvE and PvP. I can tank a STF elite no problem, swap a bridge officer or two and queue up for PvP and fight fine... 1v1 well.
I take a hit in my overall damage output not having a Lt Comm tac second option, but in the big picture I live longer, and living longer means i do more over time. Remember I still have 5 tac consoles.

I like my Fleet patrol Escort, cmd and lt cmd tac slots, lt eng and lt sci plus you get a ensign universal slot, so you can for example have a engineering boff or a sci boff in there, really versatile.
Respectable hit points and and a very nice level of firepower, but there are only 4 tac console slots, but saying that you do get 4 engineering console slots in return.
It's like a Kalashnikov, tough and very hard to break
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

My personal favorite fleets are:
Fleet Assault
Fleet HEC
Fleet Defiant (5 effin tac consoles!!!)
I don't like any of the Fleet science ships, so I got my Sci a JHDC.
DPS FTW.

Finally someone noticed!
