No Vice Admiral ship token (closed, necro)

Hey all, I just reached Vice Admiral (50) and after visiting Quinn I noticed I didn't get a free ship token. Does anyone know if you get one or not? you do with every other 10 ranks.

    sorry, but you don't get a ship token at this rank.
    your last free ship is on 40 :(

    As said the ship at RA rank is the last free ship. It is perfectly fine for general play. If you want anymore ships then it is zen store or, I think, the fleet ships.

    Erm nope it isn't. The RA ships are more than adequate for gameplay. It's been like this for a long time.

    I only have the Oddy on two characters because I was playing during the anniversary event that introduced it and did the quest that rewarded it. It is not the same as the zen ones, it is inline I believe with the fleet varient. If it wasn't or that I would still be using my RA ships.

    Standard VA ships are the same tier as RA ships; coming the same number of BO powers, stats and 9 console slots. The only difference is that they come with a special console and a different BO layout for $25. Fleet and triple pack ships are the exception(they may be considered T5.5), with 10 console slots, and a ~10% bonus over their T5 cousins.

    Yeah the RA ships are just fine for any endgame content. I ran ESTFs in both a Luna and a Sovy before I saved up my stipend for a Vesta.

    Question regarding your question (for my own personal knowledge):

    Are you a subscriber at all, or a full Free-to-play player? Also, like the other authors have already stated, you receive your final free ship at lvl 40 (Rear Admiral, Lower Half). Also, like the other comments stated, the lvl 40 ship IS not at all bad! I myself still use the my two Sovereign-class assault cruisers I received when both characters reached lvl 40, respectively!

    I use the Sovereign-class assault cruiser too, I was hoping for a dreadnaught so I could use dual cannons ect.

    you have to admit, they are FINE ships! and extremely resilient in battle!

    If you're a subscriber, and have 600 Days of subscribed time, then you SHOULD get a VA Ship Token. If not, then you shouldn't.

    The outrage is that Cryptic removed the VA token we used ot get because, and I quote (or paraphrase) "it isn't fair that player's can sub for a month and level a character to 50 and get a free ship at 50".
    Proposals for using in-game features to improve: (1) the "Phaser Lance" (and other underrepresented/missing "big guns"); && (2) separation systems on all ships that have them; && (3) training boffs in captain only powers by using boffs as pack-mules; OR to add functionality like: (4) "Away Teams Of Space Ships";

    Sorry, the Dreadnaught's not eligible for a Free VA ship token, the ones that are eligible are the Tactical Escort Retrofit, Exploration Cruiser Retrofit, and Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit.

    The game has been like that for years - Lvl 40 being the last free ship. As for not getting rewards for playing, in the years I have been playing STO has been very forthcoming with rewards, maybe rewards not to everyone's liking, but you get rewarded nonetheless.
