When standing in the shipyard, I like to look out of the window, a marvelous view. On the platforms there are two B?Rels, standing on their landing gear. So I was thinking, it would be cool if the player B?Rel, or any BoP, would have an operational landing gear and could be landed.
The fact that they are standing on these platforms is in fact silly, because we are in space. What is the point of docking a ship that way when there is no gravity. However it would be awesome if we could land some of our ships, the ones capable of entering an atmosphere.
Fly to New Romulus, enter the atmosphere, land your ship, near the embassy.
They land there so people can walk up to them and over their hull to make repairs. It also lets them unload cargo via teh walkway ramp, saving on transporters.
It would be sweet to fly your bop into atmosphere and land them.

To be honest, birds of prey should qualify as shuttles for most shuttle missions to boot. That'd be way OP though.
-- I will do what I must to aid my family, friends, and fleet, in that order; no matter how many things, laws... or people... I have to break in order to do so. --
I wish that you could land B'rels, as well as shuttles, and Intrepid class starships. Allowing this, as well as atmospheric actions would be really cool.
