Is it worth subscribing for a month?

I was reading somewhere that it's worth subscribing for just one month and then cancelling. My question is, what do you get?

I read somewhere it's extra bank space and a new character slot?
But since I've already unlocked extra character slots with zen, would I still get another?

Thanks!

Off the top of my head -

    Account bank
    500 zen stipend
    Extra inventory
    extra bank space
    extra BO slots
    1 extra character
    Extra ship slots
Respec tokens (only when you are levelling up, not retroactive)
EC limit of 10mil lifted (this goes back down when your 30 days are up but can be bought with the stipend)

there maybe a couple of other things

You will get to keep all of the above when you drop back to silver, I allways make sure I level up in this period so all my characters who are levelling get the respect tokens as they are quite expensive

Basically you get a bucket load of stuff for 1 month of subbing, 1 for one will be resubbing for a month when the Romulans hit to level up 2 characters so they get the bonuses

The EC limit does not come back. Subscribing when leveling characters is very smart. That?s how I would do it if I weren't a lifetimer. :):)

Thanks! It sounds like good advice. I'll probably wait until the Romulans are released then.

Just a couple of noobie questions concerning these respec tokens. As I understand them, they allow you to reallocate your experience points?
You said you get them when levelling up? Is that just at level 50? Also, can you sell them on the exchange?

    Yes, yes, no, no.

You get a respec token every 10 levels, but they are not items and thus cannot be sold on the Exchange (the game treats them more like currency). Respecs allow you to reallocate your skill points (for example, if you're playing a Fed Escort and put a lot of points into Threat Control and Stealth... you should probably reconsider).

What? You can't keep the stipend after dropping the sub ... right? But you keep the inventory and bank extra slots?

You only get the stipend AFTER the first 30 days and then every 30 days after that, only if you continue your subscription.

Basically you get $5 back each month. The stipend pays for itself in about 2.5 years if you get a Gold membership (on sale) and the game is still around in that time...which seems likely at this point.

Um, I stopped and the limit returned! :(

Maybe its a glitch or something, I dunno.

Anyways, is it worth subscribing?! I did for three months in a row, enjoyed it but realized that no matter how much I told myself I wasn't going to be buying an LTS when it goes on sell I remembered how full of $hit I am and thus decided to put the money aside for that instead. :D

I cut money out of my food budget for a while, and borrowed the last bit from my friend and was able to get a lifetime sub while it was on sale. In my opinion, totally worth it. Save up. There will be another sale.

No, you're right. The EC-limit is back in place if you return to silver and haven't purchased the unlock from the c-store.

BUT: You get to keep the EC you earned during your time as a gold member, it doesn't get deleted. You just can't earn more until you drop back below 10.000.000.

I counted up the Zen it would cost to buy all the stuff that came with a 1-month gold membership a while ago and I came to about 13.500 Zen for the basic 3 free characters, with an additional 9.000 Zen just for Retrain tokens if you happened to level all three of those while being "Gold".

Yes, one month is worth it. I had four alts. I purchased an old boxed game off Amazon for $13. All the alts were instantly upgraded to all the inventory/banking rewards as if they had permanent gold status. I did gain one additional alt but I didn't use it so at the end of the month the slot disappeared.

I also got 500 Zen but its bound to STO. Since doffs are maxed out at 400, I haven't found anything to spend it on yet.
