Concerns for the romulans

Yes, me and my ever concerns.

1. Battle cloak. Will it be a romulan cloak or will it be some half arsed klingon cloak? Another issue is the romulan BOFF whoch enhances the cloak potenial making romulan ships very annoying to find.

2. Will all them consoles which they listed up for romulan ships be availble for use on ALL romulan ships? I for once hope so when the klinks and feddies get so much equip they can use among their ships.

3. The most loveable of all boats, the D`deridex. Has the BOFF layout been confirmed yet, and i hope to all gods that its not an engineering boat, when canon has always displayed it to be a sci/tac boat.

    Did you not get a "closed beta" invite? The Romulan stuff is up right now.

    From what I've seen:

    1) Looks like it's similar to Klink battle cloak, but I haven't actually played too much with it.

    3) It's effectively the Gal-R with a lower turn (5.5). Poor D'deridex...

    The romulan cloak gives you extra turn rate while cloaked.

    Thanks for info so far. I dont have time to play much in april due to work (got a new job and promo so got to stay on my toes), but ill be back in full swing over may.

    But so far the romulan faction is having their ups and unfortuantly too many downs. They RUINED the D`deridex.

    Like all consoles at tier 5 level, those are locked to their tier 5/fleet level versions only.

    But a good portion of the consoles are, the mostly lower tier ones, usable on any Romulan ship. A lot of them will be console duos, like if you use a console from the Mogai refit at Cmdr level, and then the Mogai tier 5 console, will add some special...whatever to your ship (Or so they say).

    The cloaks are identical... but the rom passives from yourself and boffs do speed the recharge quite a bit.

    The layout on the derex is super engi heavy... I don't see that ship working for anything outside of role play.... well unless you throw every junk console you can think of on it and just make it a cheese spammer.

    I think the Fleet Mogai will be a deadly foe in PvP.

    Indeed the romulan escort style ships are going to be beastly.

    The cruiser is forgettable... looks cool though.

    So does the klink cloak, they are exactly the same. And I have those nice rom boffs on my brel, klinks just pay a heck of alot more

    I thought so, but didn't log with my klingon for a year or so, so I only checked the fed cloak, that does not have it hehe.

    battle cloak does regular cloak doesn't.

    So the standard cloaking klink cruisers and raptors don't have the turn bonus.
