Oh, that's where that went! Thanks for finding it.
Nah, in all honesty, it's what kasandaro mentioned in regards to how loot tables are set up. Not a bug, but I will pass the feedback along. However, I do love finding Borg drones dropping Banana Splits and Gagh
the loot tables for weapon drops have always been wild and glorious things; somehow I'm not surprised the warp cores don't line up either.
Yea. Be nice if an alien would drop the energy type it used... especially the Undine, who seem to use an Antiproton/Plasma hybrid (deals both types - go fight them with full Aegis).

My favorite is when Klingon warriors drop Tribbles. Happens a lot, it's so ironic. I've also seen Undine dropping foodstuffs. Pass along a request: If we're fighting Alien X, we'd like Alien X to drop what it's using. Loot drops for weapons based on faction, shouldn't be too hard.
i had one drop from a Gorn ship during a system patrol last night.....how are we going to get different cores if they arent supposed to drop?
Bah... the worst part is the drop RATE of Warp/Singularity Cores. I might get one once a day, MAYBE. And they're usually TRIBBLE. Be nice if we could craft them on Tribble. *winks at BranFlakes*
I never thought that object type that dropped were tied to where it is coming from, like a Negh'var will only drop disruptors and never a phaser bank. I hope it stays as is or it would make for loot 'shopping' quite hard.
I'm fine with believing it's captured/salvaged technology and goods that the targets just happened to have, tying it to faction types will only result in the creation of high traffic farming zones with players overpopulating certain areas looking for specific kinds of loot drops.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.

Agree 100% with this. The random element is needed, or obtaining gear would really get crazy. Not to mention the nightmare of balancing the distribution from the devs side. And what about the fact that certain enemies are often level-banded. Or you may not fight many opponents who use the same energy-type as your base faction, if you like to stick to canon weapons. All sorts of issues there.
Yeah, if things dropped by enemy type, you could have a problem with it getting a bit "farmville" like.
On the other hand, that Borg drop banana spilts and klingons dropping tribbles :P does not compute entierly. Maybe they should replace those items with something a bit more appropriate.
In the old KDF tutorial i got a blue phaser rifle from a Klingon security guarding the consoles on a klingon base, it must have been one of his battle spoils.
But still, i can agree it would not make sense forthe loot tables to specify where certain items can be looted, but i think it could have a extra tick where the item type CANNOT be looted.

I'm just somewhat concerned with Singularity and Warp core not dropping well enough, I've hit Subcommander 24 and not had a single core of any kind drop.
Romulans on ground dropping random Romulan Special Weapons for Levels 1-50 on all factions with the graphics that goes with them? I want a Repeater Romulan Pistol Mk XII [Dmg]x3.

oddly enough... most the cores i've seen drop are the exact ones that i have equipped..... or are just plain whites.
Wanted to transfer some funds to my romulan so hoped on to my fed ( all on tribble ), thought id take him for a little fly around killed some tholians and, mk12 singularity core with 100% cooldown to to transwarp! Wow is all i can say.
Low mark warp cores should just have their drop rates increased. They are useful for only a relatively short amount of time, and we're dying for them. Especially when they are supposed to offer a large amount of customization, but there is no variety available.
