Yes hope this makes it to the list of fixes, as if people were not "uncomfortable" with this alliance system already I imagine will only get worse if they have to use fed/klingon transporters!

Agreed, I'm sure this is a bug not an intended feature
EDIT: It must be a bug, I still have my green transporter on FED side
the romulan ship need to have green transporter and warping colour effects even after player will have to choose factions.
but if the romulan player chooses to the the kdf of starfleet the then they should be stuck with the transporter and warping colours effects
As a side/idea for down the road: It would neat if the effects were determined by the ship rather than the faction.
Alternatively, it might be interesting if the type of warp core you have impacts the warp effects(perhaps a special borg warp core giving a borg warp-in/out animation, etc).
Small touches, but they go a long way for the sense of immersion.
Huh, okay now it appears to be a random event. Playing last night and I warped out of a system and the warp flare was suddenly green again. Was thinking "Alright they fixed it". Entering the next system however the warp in flash was red, but the beam down was green. After finishing the mission the beam up was red and the warp out flare was red again.
Valuable feedback guys. I suspect this will be sorted, it's probably something related to why KDF Toon creation is unavailable at the minute The faction itself will be overgoing some overhauls before launch I guess.
I too agree the effects should be based on the ship. If you are in a Rom ship then Rom effects, KDF ship then KDF effects, so on and so forth. It is stupid to have the allies technology override what is going on with my Rom character flying a Rom ship.

I guess Romulans really DO inherit all the KDF bugs when they side with them...
But seriously, yeah, the same issue - sided with the KDF and my transporter effect changed to ugly red. Sound as well.
If I wanted a KDF transporter effect I'd play my KDF officers.
