PvP Academy - April Classes

NEW SCHEDULE HAS BEEN POSTED BELOW

We had a great first week of classes we held 6 classes with a total of 53 students. Looking forward to getting to work with you all again and i look forward to getting to meet all the new students who have signed up for this upcoming week.

Remember all our classes are walk-ins you do not have to register you can just show up but a heads up would be nice so if you could please post your @handler and the class you want to attend it would be greatly appreciated. :)

    I attended Arwin's 12:00pm PvP Basics class, i just started playing just a few weeks ago and i know very little about the game and about pvp, but he was very paitent and helpful and is very knowledgeable he seemed to really know his stuff and everything he said was proven in the pvp match we did it was the three of us vs him and in the start of it he tore us apart. But after each round of kill, he would stop and explain in detail what tactics and skills hes used on us and how to counter it and prevent it from happening again.

    we were in that match a little over an hour and in that time alone i feel like we all improved a great deal, it got to the point where we did one on one fights with him and actually lasted longer then 10 seconds XD

    i really am looking forward to attending future classes

    Spells we are always looking for more people to help out, we are a different entity then the Boot Camp, But of the 11 people i have on my staff, 9 of them are boot camp coaches including myself. So people who attend are getting the same quality of training and for the most part we are following the same curriculum but just in a different way.

    But we are always looking for volunteers to help run things, and if you want to take a class or two just let us know.

    Absolutely, i had a great group of players. Most of them only needed minor changes to their builds, needed to be set up with keybinds and help working on skill timing.

    over all great day!, thank you vox for volunteering to help out today. Hope to see everyone that came today in our future classes.

    I am currently working on a schedule for next week, any requests on classes you guys would like to see?


    This is what i have so far for next week, i will post dates and times once i have a complete list.

    Aux2bat building, learn how to build an aux2bat ship and/or how to improve the one you already have.

    Escorts Builds and Tactics, was very popular this week so i will host it again next week.

    How to be a Healer, pretty much explains itself we assembled a group of some of the best healers and asked them to do a class on healing.

    Thank you guys on lessons you give me. They helped me alot, and I already seen improvments on my skills in pvp. You are exelent and very good teachers.

    I have attended 2 PVPBootcamp classes, the last one an Advanced Escort Class yesterday, and i learn something new everytime in these classes.

    I have pvped in this game since i leveled my first toon in August 2010 and im in a PVP Fleet.

    I recommend both new players and seasoned pvpers to attend these classes, there are allways something new you will learn.

    The teachers are very knowledgable, patient and generous in sharing their knowledge.:-D


    Thanks Arwin, Master Yoda, Pheo, Sargon and all the other teachers and all those involved in this great initiative.:-D

    Attended Arwin's class on Escort Builds and Tactics. Nice learning experience and had a lot of fun as well. :)

    Arwin was a patient and knowledgeable coach who spent as much time with us as we needed. It was different and yet similar to the PvP Bootcamp classes. Different in that it was more informal, we spent most of the time in actual combat followed by commentary and suggestions by Arwin. Similar in that much of the same basic information was given.

    I liked the 'practical' teaching approach. Nothing wrong with the traditional lecture style but the class was small enough that we were able to apply the ideas and theories immediately and get immediate feedback.

    Skill timing has always been my weak point which Arwin spotted right away and worked on it with me and the others. Helpful keybinds as well and an open invitation for questions too.

    Will definitely try to attend more classes and strongly recommend them especially for those who missed the Bootcamp classes or just want to reinforce the theories. Thanks for the great experience!

    Anyone who wants to do a cruiser class can sit in on my A2B class, since most people who attend will be flying cruisers (though I still encourage JHEC and Chimera captains to attend). I will do a healing cruiser class if anyone is interested afterward.
