Level to level, KDF Escorts are inferior to Fed Escorts. All the way up to level 50, the only Escort KDF gets that's decent without being a Zen ship, is the Fleet Qin Raptor, and even then, it's STILL inferior to the Fleet Patrol. Compared to Mirror Versions of the Fed Escorts, they are still superior.
Not equal.
Plasmodic Leech coupled with The 1,000 Day super raptor, Guramba, or Fleet Scourge can easily hold its own Vs. Federation ships and then some.
BoP's on the other hand are a whole different beast and setup correctly can be absolutely OP (if we are talking the Retro). Capable of always entering combat in an advantaged state and never being killed. Now the 1K Raptor is nearly as bad with its shield stealing (and turn rate lowering if you use the right DOFFs muahahaaaa) decently potent lotus, and let us not forget... BATTLE CLOAK.
It differences that I enjoy. Let thefeds have the better escorts. I enjoy the KDF having the better cruisers suited for combat.
I dont expect some feds to stop the "unfair" cry for all things better than any other faction though. Regardless of how good they may have it, some always want more more to attempt to overcome percieved short commings.
Pretty much this. If we must have raptors, then they're mostly fine as they are now, except for the fact that we need more options to pick from. We have advantages to offset that disadvantage, and vice versa.
I also feel that Feddies really underestimate the usefulness of their science ships, even in PvP. Their science ship line is a clear advantage, even if they refuse to acknowledge it.
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.
So if you want them equal then Feds get Battle cloaks and Aceton assemilators and leech as well right?
Why not? Feds have whined and cried until KDF doesn't really have anything that's unique to them anymore. Why not take it all?
The KDF is, and will always be the Feds whipping boy in this game. As much as Stahl says he wants balance, they can't do that because the 90% of people who play Fed will ***** and moan its to hard and they need a buff.
Only if Fed cruisers get made equal to Klingon battle cruisers.
As a Fed player, I'm sure you know how crappy the Galaxy is. Now imagine your whole line of cruisers being that way and you have played every KDF cruiser in the game, especially vs Fed P2W models.

He means Galaxy-X and other fed P2W ships equiped with P2W consoles like emission seeking torpedo.

What about fed BOPs? They seem to be severely lacking when stacked up against KDF and Romulan BOPs.
You mean the aquarius ? last time i heard, KDF claimed it was OP escort :P

Not that I would not mind a 5 foreward weapon Raptor or even a battle cruiser though.
Overall Im happy with the fed=better escort & science and KDF = better battle cruisers & BoPs set up.

More or less. We have the Kar'fi, yes, but Federation has the Armitage/Heavy Escort Carrier (which carries dual cannons, has 4 tactical console slots, and is twice as maneuverable as the KDF flight-deck carriers).
We have the edge in carrier pets largely because of our frigate-level pets and our overall bias towards raw DPS when it comes to said pets. However, the Federation has the Danubes, the Yellowstone (elite pet), and a couple other pets to pick from.

You also realise that the Armitage is pretty much just an escort? With BOff setup etc etc. Its also easy prey to anything with firepower or turnrate. The Atrox is a great tank if you know how to but other than that its pretty cr4ppy, big, slow, underpowered and it looks like a phalic object when you look down onto it.
Frankly, I say give the KDF a couple of ships to match our escorts. Just we gain a battlecloak, leach and all the other things KDF seem to throw about with wild abandon.
The only decent carrier pet fed has is the Danoube (because of its tractor beam).
The Kumari with its 5 weapons up front isnt as op as many think, extra weapons drain for one, it has zero defence rear due to only having 2 slots rear, its turnrate although pretty good is still slower than a BoP thats been well setup, the tactical version with 5 tac consoles is so tac orientated, it has hardly anything in the way of defensive or heals, it is a true glass cannon.
For those that think that 'P2W' consoles like the emission seeking torpedo is a game changer, Id highly suggest either getting some practice or get some build help. Frankly that torpedo is slow, noisy, weak and pretty pointless, it gives you a rough idea of where a cloaked ship is and thats it.
They might then realise that the escorts make up for what everything else lacks in.
Lets face it, a 5th console doesnt really add a game changing amount of extra DPS either. It adds some but not a huge amount.

Just 1/5th more in the DPS department.
Turn that 1/5th into 1/5th more alpha.
In a game which is DPS centric, that is HUGE. A KDF ship with 7 tac consoles wont even equal that.
I doubt it could. Outmatch stat wise or piloting/skill wise? My Hoh'Sus is a monster.
Play against a player with a built Aquarius, it's a HoH'SuS with more HP and no battlecloak.
I have one on my Fed, it flies practically the same as the HoH'SuS. What it lacks in cloaking, it makes up for in HP.
It can also tank a lot more with its dedicated engineer slots, and its higher shield mod. So it does the same damage except minus decloak alpha, but had higher survivability.

Why not try a 5 console ship, you might find it doesn't make a huge amount of difference, even in alpha. When I'm on later ill show how little difference it makes.
Especially when the enemy spends most of its time slipping in and out of cloak and hitting with sci skills.
The fact that a lot of the KDF ships are very flexible in setup with universal console and Boff slots.
Also consider how many ships KDF have that are more battle orientated compared to fed.
You might find those escorts are the only things we have.
1 extra Tac console adds about 100 pts of damage. It's a bit more, but 4 consoles vs 5 consoles really means very little for energy weapons DPS
That 5th console means more if one adds a Tac torp console.
I agree the KDF needs a slightly better T5 Raptor. They have the Garumba. What they need is the same ship with a Klingon look. I dislike the look of the Nausican fish, Lion Fish, and Inverted Spider.

I didnt think anyone was afraid of that vessel.

Because the Fleet B'Rel can't already pop a Defiant like it's a breakfast pastry?

Yeah I'll go for this ^ I think the Klingon escorts out over powered enough you can barely touch them in Capture and Hold PvP
Your getting them, the cloak atleast...they're called Romulans.
Seems like 99% of the ships I fly anymore are faction neutral anyway.
