So the Lobi store was implemented at the same time of the release of the Ferengi lockboxes, and every subsequent lockbox has had its theme of items for sale in the lobi store. Something's missing here. One of these lockbox themes is not like the others. So here is what the Lobi store needs:
Ships
Cardassian Hideki Escort
Item sets
Cardassian Spiral Wave Single Beam Bank (180 degrees, damage in between a beam array and a dual beam bank)
Cardassian Photon Torpedo Launcher (let Cryptic figure that one out)
Cardassian Universal Console (let Cryptic figure that one out)
3 piece set bonus: Keldon Upgrade. (Adds Keldon visual parts to the Galor model, extra bonuses can be decided by Cryptic, probably at least +8% bonus to disruptor weapon damage)
I thoroughly approve. That Cardassian Phaser/Disruptor rifle is the sex and since we've got Romulan and Jem'Hadar weapons I don't see why we can't have Cardassian weapons.
Just one adjustment to your idea;
To hell with the Lobi Store.
Do a Cardassian FE and make the weapons available as mission rewards, like the JH and Romulan weapons.
The outfits, eh, I guess they can go into the Lobi store or be mission rewards. Keldon probably should have been added to the Lobi store ages ago as a counterpart to the Galor - maybe it could have a single hangar bay for Hideki's?
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
No more cardassian ships, because at some point i want a viable Cardassian faction (see my avatar :P).
Don't worry, I'm sure sooner or later Cardassian farmers are going to get their hands on huge warships and start their own colony while fighting off the magical re-appearance of the Obsidian order (who are really pawns for the Iconians too).

The Romulan-Iconian connection has been in STO since mid 2010 when we got the level cap increase.
Oh, I got the sarcasm. I just thought you were implying that the Tal-Shiar - Iconian connection was ridiculous.
By itself it isn't. Desperate group trying to hold onto power allying with mysterious big bad is tad cliche for me, but not outside the realm of reasonableness. The fact that anything that happens in STO is apparently linked to the Iconians on the other hand...that's ridiculous.
They've become effectively the Kevin Bacon of STO.

Do we know that the Iconians are BIG and BAD? Does the Tal-Shiar are know that? We assume the Iconians are the BBEG, but if they fulfilled the BB part, why aren't *they* doing all the footwork? Perhaps the Iconians still exist, but are using guile and manipulation to cause the predominant species and nations to self destruction, making them weak enough for the Iconian forces to mop up.

From what little information we have, a comparison of the Iconians to B5's Shadows would not be inaccurate.

Call me simplistic, but if a species/faction/band of clowns decides to start a series of intergalactic wars for their own benefit, and demands that anyone they cross paths with bow down to them (from the current missions where Iconians make cameos), I wouldn't exactly put them in the "friendly" category.
In addition, overwhelming force against a fresh opponent isn't always the best way to win a war.

True. However, a huge part of what made the story surrounding the Shadows work was the revelation of their relationship with the Vorlons and the other First Ones, and the ensuing shenanigans that happened. I don't see that happening with STO.
I think I remember reading that DStahl wishes there hadn't been a Cardassian lockbox, since he has a wish of eventually adding in a Cardassian faction.
If he's still holding onto that wish, I wouldn't count on seeing more Cardassian ships and items on the Lobi store.
If they are a BBEG (Big, Bad, Evil Guy), then this is feasible. If they are only an EG, they must resort to more subtle tactics.
I think you're misunderstanding my terminology. "Big Bad" doesn't necessarily equate to overwhelming military force commanded by some evil empire of doom. It's (at least as I've seen/used it) more of a colloquialism for the primary bad guy/faction, irrespective of the level of force able to be brought to bear.

Primary Bad Guys are primary *because* they're big and powerful enough for you to consider them primary.

I would doubt that on the whole, yeah.
But I could see armor that allows a Cardassian uniform as a visual when equipped only like the Lobi Jem'Hadar set.
Or maybe off duty Cardassian outfits like Garak or Dukat would wear.
In the long run, I wouldn't be surprised at a Cardassian faction but I'd expect it's a minimum of 18 months out and based on the success or failure of the Roms. And at that point, they may look at some kind of upgrade and rerelease for the Galor lockbox, like a special hull or alternate costume parts to keep the lockbox version distinct.

Yep, pretty much this. I'm also still patiently waiting for that to happen at some point in STO. I think that Cryptic is calculating with the same as well, that's why we haven't seen much Cardassian items after the Cardie lockbox.

Somebody needs to get their sarcasmometer looked at.

Well, he did get his wish of a Romulan faction (and a supposedly complete KDF experience).
Depending on how successful LoR ends up being, it might not be impossible to see a Cardassian faction appear later on.
Not in the least. I can think of multiple big bads who weren't big bads solely on their martial strength.
